Malaysia has agreed to import a record 100,000 tonnes of rice from India, which will be completed this month and in the next one month.

Malaysia has nearly doubled its rice purchases from India this year compared to the previous five years, while other exporters Myanmar, Vietnam and Cambodia have temporarily banned exports to store rice for themselves during the Corona virus crisis.
