Army should take control of Balochistan: Shujaat
14 January, 2013
LAHORE: The PML-Q president, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, has said whether it was democratic or undemocratic, the army should take control of Balochistan, because the circumstances there have worsened.
He said this while talking to the media after the inauguration of Green Valley Premium Super Market in the Mall of Lahore on Sunday. He said Balochistan Chief Minister Aslam Raisani should immediately return and control the situation or he should resign and Balochistan should be handed over to the army forthwith.
Shujaat said the people were protesting with dead bodies in Balochistan where oppression was intolerable and people were losing their temper, making it inevitable for the army to take control of the province.
Replying to a question, he said the Tehrik-e-Minhajul Quran (TMQ) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri's long march had just started from Lahore, negotiations were continuing with him, and hopefully solution to the matters would be found by the time he arrived in Islamabad.
Shujaat said Malik Riaz had been especially blessed by the Almighty Allah that any work he started was blessed by Allah, because he had always taken special care of the poor, lakhs of people were benefiting from his system of healthcare and food every day. He said he had seen with his own eyes outside the PIMS, Islamabad, that people were taking food as if they were sitting in a hotel. He said this was all with the blessings of Allah and it would flourish and spread further.
End.
