Hafiz Saeed won't be arrested: Malik

DERA ALLAH YAR: Interior Minister Rehman Malik said Jamaatud Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed would not be arrested as there are no concrete evidences against him.
He said this Thursday while addressing an inauguration ceremony of passport office and talking to media in Dera Allah Yar. Malik added that it was strange that the US State Department had offered a bounty of millions of dollars to arrest Saeed and his deputy, Abdul Rehman Makki without solid evidences against them.
He said the US is violating international law by attacking Pakistan's sovereignty. Talking about the Balochistan issue, the minister urged the people of Balochistan to participate in the progress of Pakistan.
The mischief mongering elements are dancing to the tune of enemies of Pakistan' Malik noted, adding Sardar Akhtar Mengal and workers were set free after the cases lodged against them were squashed.
Malik said friends who are sitting abroad should come back to Pakistan and start talks, adding, the PPP wants consensus politics in the country. He said, "even today, I invite Brahamdagh Bugti to sit with us and have talks with us". He claimed that there are only 47 persons who are missing and some of them are in Kandahar Camps and their list would also be displayed soon.
Moreover, the minister said it is the responsibility of the provincial government to offer relief to the people, adding, "I direct the authorities concerned to double the number of passports in Naseerabad Division. The interior minister and other persons had a narrow escape Thursday when their aircraft made an emergency landing in Dera Allah Yar, media reported.
