ISLAMABAD: The parliamentary party meeting of the PML-Q turned into a verbal battleground against Minister for Housing and Works Makhdoom Faisal Saleh Hayat as the parliamentarians of the party fiercely levelled allegations of corruption against him.

According to sources, PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain was forced to intervene to stop his party's members from making allegations against Makhdoom Faisal Saleh Hayat, and asked them to raise the issue in his presence rather than in his absence.

Makhdoom Faisal Saleh Hayat was not present during the meeting as he was abroad at the time. Sources revealed that the critics of Makhdoom Faisal Saleh Hayat, including Riaz Fatyana, also demanded that the PML-Q president strip him of his designation as party minister.

However, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain was not convinced by the critics' demands, and told them in clear words that their criticism in Faisal's absence was not in line with proper decorum. It was further revealed that following the president's intervention, the matter was not raised again during the course of the meeting.

End.
