ISLAMABAD: The Upper House of parliament on Wednesday commotion against the government with full-throat shouting against the alleged government inefficiency.

Interior Minister Nisar Ali Khan was specially targeted over the issue of baton charge of OGDCL employees by Islamabad police. They termed the PML-N government as anti-workers government, who wanted to take away two times of meal from poor people of the country. Even the government allies including JUI-F, Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP), independent senators, and PML-N senator strongly condemned the baton charge of the OGDCL employees, who wanted to held protest demonstration in front of parliament. The legislators claimed that about 50 employees of the OGDCL were admitted in the capital hospital over whom the police fired on the directives of Interior Minister.

The senators recalled the government that it totally failed to take any action against two big sit-ins in front of the parliament, who also attacked on parliament house, PTV, and other government departments. But today, the Islamabad police took strong action against the workers, who wanted to protest for their basic human rights to raise voice against the privatisation of OGDCL.

The PPP led opposition in the senate warned the government that they would strongly reacted if the government intended to privatise OGDCL, Pakistan Steel Mills and others. They were of the view that three smaller provinces Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were major stakes in the OGDCL because they are main gas producing areas. They termed the privatisation of the OGDCL is tantamount like grabbing the resources of smaller provinces. During question hour, the PPP leader Mian Raza Rabbani raised the issue of baton charge and firing on OGDCL employees and later announced walked out from the senate.

On several occasions the house witness big shouting against capitalist government and its anti-workers and anti-people policies. ANP Senator Zahid Khan recalled the government that not a single minister or SHO can pass the road covered by Tahirul Qadri workers in red zone but it was shame the government/interior minister who took action against OGDCL employees today. He warned the government that all parliamentarians would held sit-in in front of parliament and then the government would not be in a position to remove it. PPP Senator Saeed Ghani said the government has adopted dual standard over the protest of OGDCL employees and Imran/Qadri sit-ins.

Haji Adeel questioned that how long they will support the government, who intended to privatise OGDCL, a profitable organization, which is a matter of Council of Common Interests. MQM Senator Tahir Mashhadi demanded judicial enquiry of action taken against the employees and supported the opposition stance. The government ally, JUI-F senator Hafiz Hamdullah said three incidents happened on one day in Balochistan including attack on FC, Hazara Community and on Fazlur Rehman. But he regretted that the interior minister could not issue a single statement in this regard. Federal Minister for Postal Services and JUI-F senator Abdul Ghafoor Haidri also criticized the government and specially Ch Nisar Ali Khan for complete silence over Fazl attack. Further explaining his helplessness, the minister said not a single SHO enquired about the attack on Fazlur Rehman. PPP Abdul Qayum Somoroo demanded of the government to remove Interior Minister Nisar Ali Khan immediately from his post.

Leader of Opposition in Senate Ch Aitizaz Ahsan said just few days ago the government relatively moving toward stability after Tahirul Qadri windup sit-in from red zone but the PML-N own ministers have started creating hurdles for the government. "We support the government in historic moment when the pillars was shaking. He warned the government to stop immediately corruption otherwise they all would stand against rulers.
