ISLAMABAD, June 06 (Online): Terming Pakistani, Kashmiris and Indians vital parties to the dispute of Kashmir, Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Sunday categorically informed that settlement of Kashmir issue was impossible against the aspirations of Kashmiri people.
"After taking in confidence the three parties including Pakistan, Kashmiri people and India the Kashmir saga can be resolved amicably," Shaukat Aziz expressed these remarks while talking to a press conference after meeting with Kashmiri delegation at Prime Minister's House.
Chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference Mir Waiz Umar Farooq also spoke on the occasion.
Earlier, in a two hours long meeting with Prime Minister, the Kashmiri delegation included Chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference Mir Waiz Farooq, Moulvi Abbas Ansari Bilal Ghani lon, Abdullah Tari, Abdul Ghani Butt, Yasin Malik and other Kashmiri leaders called on Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and exchanged views on the possible solution of Kashmir issue and PAK-India dialogues.
Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz briefed Kasmiri leaders about Pakistan's stance on Kashmir issue and development on dialogues iniated with India. While speaking to news reporters Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz said that Pakistani public is pleased to welcome the arrival of APHC leaders, adding Pakistan is 2nd home for Kashmiris. Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz also said that Pakistan wants a peaceful solution of Kashmir issue according to the aspirations of Kashmiri people and added that Pakistani stance on Kashmir would be always on side of Kashmiris.
Commenting on the Pak-India dialogues development he said that as result of comprehensive dialogues between Pakistan and India, Kashmiri leaders through a historic visit crossed Line Of Control, reached from Sri Nagar to Muzaffarabad and were welcomed in Islamabad, where they would meet and exchange views with people from all schools of thoughts.
Prime Minister reiterated that Pakistan's stance on Kashmir issue is that Kashmiri people, Pakistan and India are three vital parties towards the solution of Kashmir issue adding Unless these three parties come closer, no framework of Kashmir solution can be sorted out. He also said that we respect the UN resolutions regarding the Kashmir issue as well as.
Speaking on this occasion, Mir Waiz Farooq said that Pakistani public, Government and Azad Kashmir government have accorded unforgettable respect while dialogues held with Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz were meaningful and we reviewed all aspects of the Kashmir issue. He said that Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz assured that Pakistani government and public would stand by and support Kashmiris in their right of self-determination.
Expressing the viewpoint of Hurriyat, Chairman APHC said that APHC wants solution of Kashmir according to the aspirations of Kashmiri People and also dubbed composite dialogues process is positive development. He demanded to make APHC part of dialogues and hoped that Pakistan government would take measures in this regard because it is high time that Pakistan and India should come forward to sort out the solution of Kashmir issue and also expressed optimism that APHC would be included in the next dialogues between Pakistan and India which is the only way out of sustainable solution of Kashmir issue.
APHC call for Kashmiris' inclusion in peace talks
Visiting APHC leaders have made it clear Kashmir issue will not be resolved without participation of Kashmiri people in the talks process.
Kashmiri leaders said this while addressing luncheon hosted in their honour by the PML president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain here Sunday.
APHC leaders who spoke on the occasion were Mir Waiz Omar Farooq, Yaseen Malik, Bilal Lone, Abdul Ghani Bhatt and Abbas Ansari. PML President Chaudhry Shujaat and secretary general Mushahid Hussain Sayyed also delivered speeches.
APHC president Mir Waiz Omar Farooq held that Muslim League, Kashmir issue and Kashmiri people are a big history. Quaid-e-Azam speech, which he delivered in Jamia Masjid Srinagar, is still echoing there in the minarets.
He went on to say that Kashmiri leadership was also acknowledging today that people of Pakistan and Pakistani leadership have supported Kashmir people in their freedom movement. Despite their internal differences, every government of Pakistan had always lent support to cause of Kashmir.
About their visit to Pakistan he said that Kashmiris from Srinagar to Muzaffarabad welcomed them against heavy odds, which bears ample evidence that Kashmiri people are happy over the visit of APHC leadership. " We are optimistic about positive outcome. The accords ranging from Simla to Tashkent were executed but they could not bear fruits. Today India has been forced to accept Kashmiri people as party to Kashmir dispute due to their unprecedented struggle.
The rights of any nation can not be buried by dint of force, he underlined. " We want Pakistan and India get closer as Kashmir issue can not be sorted out if they don't come close. Kashmiris should also be included in the talk's process, he stressed.
Yaseen Malik said Kashmir is the only territory where the fathers and mothers are shouldering the dead bodies of their sons. " I had addressed a letter to the President general Musharraf and Indian Prime Minister on December 31, 2003 in order to make them convinced that Kashmiris should be included in the talks process", he added.
He maintained that their visit to Pakistan should not be named as talks process. No decision has so far been taken on participation of Kashmiris in the dialogue process. " We should be left on our own if Pakistan does not include us in the talks", he added.
Bilal Lone said that Pakistan would have to give status of Kashmir as its younger brother. " I am impressed by the vision of General Pervez Musharraf after my father", he remarked.
Maulvi Abbas Ansari said Kashmiris would continue their struggle till the achievement of their goal.
PML President Chaudhry Shujaat said " I had advised Indian think tanks during my visit to New Delhi that they should think minus tank and then the Kashmir issue will be settled. We like Kashmiri people more than Kashmir and we think more about them", he remarked. An acceptable solution to Kashmir issue will have to be found through participation of Kashmiri people in the talks process, he stressed.
He asserted that Kashmir issue will be resolved in the tenure of the sitting government and its credit will go to the President General Pervez Musharraf. People should not go for politicking on the bodies of the people of Kashmir.
PML Secretary general Mushahid Hussain Sayyed said Kashmir issue is nearing to settlement due to the efforts of President General Pervez Musharraf. The time has come that Kashmir issue is resolved so that peace and stability are ensured in the region.
