ISLAMABAD, October 11 (Online): Pakistan has said that it has not received the specific offer regarding rescue and relief operations including financial assistance from Israel and therefore was not considering on that point, it was informed by Foreign Office spokeswoman Tasneem Aslam during the weekly press briefing here on Monday.

She said that Pakistan had experienced the worst tragedy in the form of earthquake and appealed to the world community for the rescue and relief operation teams and financial assistance within the six hours of the tragedy.

"The response of the world community was quick and we have received many rescue teams and financial assistance that have arrived in Pakistan for the rehabilitation of the bereaved families," she added.

Responding to a question regarding assistance from Israel, she said that Pakistan had not received the specific offer on Israel side and therefore, Pakistan was not considering about it.

About the rescue operations in held Kashmir, she said: "we are ready to work in the affected areas and both India and Pakistan could continue relief operations in each country."

On the question, why American helicopters had not reached Pakistan for the rescue operations in the far-flung areas of the country where the communication system had been damaged, she said the I guess certain formalities had hampered the quick action.

She further hinted at the Pak-America partnership in the war of terrorism saying that Pakistan had jumped into the war for its own national interests and Pakistan did not want to cash these relationships.

Reacting the Indian Foreign Minister K Natwar Singh's statement about the held Kashmir that it was an integral part of the India, she said that United Nations Organizations resolutions and Shimla Accord had recognized the held Kashmir as disputed territory and it had been on the key agenda of two rounds of composite dialogue between two countries. She said the dispute should be settled through peaceful dialogue.

She informed that USA, UK, EU, Ireland and Belgium had given financial assistance to Pakistan to the tune 0.1 million dollars, fifty thousand dollars, 3.6 million Euro, one billion Euro and 250,000 Euro respectively.

End.

The world is integrating through fast-track economic developments and geopolitical interdependence. Islam possesses a clear vision of the present happenings and what lies in the future. Israel, good, bad, or indifferent has its reckoning, whether our prejudiced religious clerics like it or not. There is an authenticated "Hadith" in the context of Israelis assembly in the Holy Land. No doubdt that the creation of the state of Israel was considered a prerequisite by the West for the so-called "Second Comming" of Jesus Christ, but even the Israelis do not deny that their political entity is illegitimate and a gross violation of their pledge to their God, Yahweh.

The key to the solution lies with Islam, which is the last best hope for mankind, especially for Israel.

Let us emphasise to Israel that Jews have lived for the better part of their exile under the Muslim regimes. Their future, therefore, also is intertwined with the Muslims.

Israel poses a great trauma to Israelis in that its core religious orthodox Jews do not recognise its creation. They are apprehensive of a divine retribution which they feel is hovering over their land. Christianity has its own agenda in Israel that has a serious clash with the Israelis. So, who the Israelis would look to in their hour of peril? Ask this question to the misguided Qazi sahib of JI and the symbol of "opposition" Maulana Fazal. Somebody should teach them true facts of history and to have them revise their learning of the Qur'an.

The Qur'an has placed two options to the Israelis for their salvation. First a bond with Allah Ta'ala. Second, a bond with men. So, if Israel's atheist Zionists have preferred the second option and become America's "Allied Ally", what is so strange about it? Both America and Israel are poised against the heavenly power. Can't our bloated media see this simple scenario?
And look at the ignorance and fertive tendency in the Foreign Office. What are they afraid of? The very world of Israel raises the hackles.

Ottoman Sultan Bayazid had welcomed the exodus of the Jews from their persecution in Spain. The fault line lies squarely with the Arabs, who instead of rescuing the European immigrants from Hitler's holocaust, rallied to throw them in the sea! SubhanAllah! No wonder, the Arabs are facing the music and unless they see wisdom and solve the Israeli riddle, they will continue to be disgraced before the whole world.

Pakistan has no tangle with Israel. We should pursue our policies in the best interest of the country. Jews need sympathy and a healing touch. Given these, they would make ideal friends of Islam.

Indian attitude towards Pakistan will continue unless their Pakistan paranoia is cured with compassion and foresight. Ignore their utterances. The world is sick of listening to their rhetoric of "atoot ang" and ours of the "core issue"!
