First successful liver transplant in Pakistan’s history

LAHORE, April 04 (Online): Pakistani doctors made a history by performing the first ever-successful liver transplant surgery at a private hospital here.

In an operation that spanned over an arduous 16 hours operation, when the patient’s entire lever was extracted and then replaced by a half-cut liver of the donor.

The doctors told that both the patient and the donor presently left with half-cut livers would naturally grow within full lively liver in three to six weeks’ time. Doctors termed this successful operation a landmark in the history of surgery in Pakistan.

Following the operation, the patient Salim Jhangir Muree, 38, resident of Kohlu city of Balochistan has been shifted to the ICU and thriving on ventilator. His younger brother Ataullah Khan, 27, who donated the liver for transplant was reported to be in a stable condition.

my mother is the patient of hepatitus c and doctor suggested that u make the liver transplant kindly give me the address and doctor's names they did this succesful operation and pray for my mother health also.
