Int’l community urged to take steps for initiating interfaith harmony

BASIRPUR: Islam is a religion of peace, forbearance and bright ideology and welfare for humanity, federal minister for Religious Affairs Ejaz-ul-Haq said.

Talking to newsmen Federal Minister for Religious said that there was no room for extremism in Islam as saints proved through their character and teachings.

He said that great saints played vital role in the sub-continent for spreading Islam and it was result of their teaching that today an Islamic state had existed on ideological basis.

He paid tribute to the saints and said that with their love for humanity converted millions of people into Muslims. Ejaz-ul-Haq condemned western countries for their negative propaganda against Islam.
