The Knighthood being given to Salman Rushdie shows the contempt the British establishment has for Islam and Muslims,
this announcement conceals a deeper and wider agenda that needs to be understood.
Salman Rushdie has continued his hatred for Islam by his continual call for Islam to be reformed he states that what is needed is “nothing less than a reform movement to bring the core concepts of Islam into the modern age”, that “Laws
made in the seventh century could finally give way to the needs of the 21st. The Islamic Reformation has to begin here, with an acceptance of the concept that all ideas, even sacred ones, must adapt to altered realities.”
Whilst the hatred and danger of Salman Rushdie to Islam is well known there are many others that call for the same thing
(using different terminologies) yet their hatred and danger is not widely known.
The usage of such terminologies such as Reform, Secularism and Enlightened Moderation all have one thing in common
and that is that Islam should not be seen as a complete way of life i.e. one that has a bearing on public life through its
application in looking after the affairs of the people.
Islam is a complete way of life that manifests itself in society through the implementation of Islam via the Khilafah state, whilst this was removed from this Ummah at the turn of the last century the call for its return is gathering momentum.
A recent survey conducted by the University of Maryland in America of four Muslim Countries found that a clear majority wanted the application of Sharia Law in every Islamic Country, with this being most popular in Pakistan.
The Colonial Western Governments and its Agents have recognised this growing desire for Muslims to live under Islam in the Muslim world and have launched this disingenuous ‘intellectual’ attack on the Aqeedah of the Muslims. They fear a sincere leader that would implement Islam that would look after the affairs of the people above the interests of the Colonial Western elite would be a threat to their economic and strategic interests.
Therefore it is important that we reject such ideas that are being pushed to us and refute them, whilst showing how Islam as a just system requires actual implementation through the Khilafah state to see the justice it brings with its unique socio-economic framework.
