LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has said that Benazir Bhutto is also guilty like blasphemer Salman Rushdie.

He was addressing a big public meeting after inaugurating Bakar Mandi at Shahpur Kanjra, on Sunday. District Nazim Lahore, Mian Aamir Mahmood, Provincial Minister for Communication & Works, Ch. Zaheer-ud-Din, Minister Tourism, Mian Aslam Iqbal, Chief Minister's son Mooni Elahi, Members Assembly, Town Nazims, PML office-bearers, officials of concerned departments and representatives of media besides a large number of people were present on this occasion.

He said that Benazir, who remained Prime Minister of Pakistan twice, has forgotten the name of Islam while living abroad and is disturbed for support of blasphemer Salman Rushdi.

He said that those who are supporting blasphemer Salman Rushdi are not only enemy of Pakistan and its masses but are also enemy of Islam and Muslim Ummah.

He said that the people cannot tolerate blasphemer Salman Rushdi and his supporters. He said that the people will never support such party which is against our country, religion and people.

He said that the future of democracy is safe in the country and the forthcoming elections would be transparent and fair.

He said that the opposition has nothing to say and is propagating other issues for sake of politics.

He said that the development projects completed in the tenure of present government are more than the four time regimes of Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif and PML will make clean sweep in the forthcoming general elections on the basis of its performance.

Pervaiz Elahi said that public service, progress and prosperity of the country and the nation are motto of Pakistan Muslim League government.

He said that the government is speedily implementing construction of mega projects and improvement of infrastructure besides provision of basic amenities for beautification of Lahore so that the masses could be benefited from the fruits of development of international standard besides provision of basic amenities.

He said that the government is spending record funds for the promotion of education, health, tourism, sports and other sectors so that the living standard of the masses could be enhanced.

Chief Minister visited various areas of Lahore including Gulzar Underpass at canal between Muslim Town and Garden Town and laid foundation stone of Slaughter House and Bakar Mandi at Shahpur Kanjran.

He also inaugurated roads, sewerage and other development projects costing one billion rupees at Chowk Bhaikewal Mor and UCs 113, 118 and 119. He also inspected Thokar Niaz Beg Flyover which will be completed at a cost of rupees one billion. He also directed to complete the flyover within three months.
