SC should play its role for return of army into barracks, says Qazi

ISLAMABAD: President Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) Qazi Hussain Ahmed has said that the Supreme Court of Pakistan should play its role for the return of army into barracks.

He demanded change in the policies of President General Musharraf and elimination of army role in the politics, which is vital to stop suicide attacks and bomb blasts.

Talking to media men here in Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) on Saturday following inquiring the health of Dr. Israr Hussain Shah and other injured of Islamabad suicide attack, he said we believes in non violent struggle.

The country has been passing through a difficult and stressful time due to wrong policies of President General Pervez Musharraf, he added.

President MMA observed “we being front line alliance of US in war against terrorism are spreading anarchy and chaos in the country”.

He held President General Pervez Musharraf responsible for the recent suicide attacks and killing of innocent people during Lal Masjid operation.

Crime is committed by some one else but punishment is given to someone other, he maintained adding that we have to change the system of the country.

He said the Supreme Court verdict on the petition of the Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was reflective the feelings of people and the nation was not ready to accept any pressure from the military led Government.

All Democratic Movement would create a new history for the supremacy of democracy, parliament and constitution in the country, he hoped.

Meanwhile talking to a private TV channel President Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA), Qazi Hussain Ahmed said that no possibility of reelection of Musharraf as the President if decision are taken according to the constitution.

He said that the next few days are very important to assess the affects on the political situation of the country after the historical judgment of the Supreme Court.

He said that the next agenda of MMA is to back the courts of the country and it is the duty of the courts to help masses in getting their rights.

Terming the restoration of Chief Justice as a start of a new journey, MMA President said that he pray for independence of judiciary completely as it would be vital to provide justice to poor segments of the society, adding that all decisions should be made on merit.

Qazi saheb SC does not pass the bills. It is the job of parliament to pass bills needed in the country. SC is not in a position and never will be to make amendments or dictate to parliament what to do. Its the parliament which gives to SC and others to carry on work according to the rules of the State. Qazi Saheb its wishful thinking and since you have resigned there is no need to suggest anything like that, its rather too late.

Supreme court is the justice related entity to uphold the laws of the land.SC is not a political body to start meddling into politics or the governance of the country.

WHATEVER SC HAS VERDICT IS ABOUT CJ IS PERTAINING TO IMPLEMENTING THE LAWS OF THE LAND AND THAT IS ALL SC HAS DONE IN THIS CASE.

STRADDLING OR SPILLING INTO THE NATION'S GOVERNANCE OR THE POLITICS IS NOT WITHIN THE SCOPE OF THE SC. OTHERWISE THE SC WILL LOOSE ITS WELL RESPECTED CREDIBILITY AND BECOME THE BASKET WITH DIRTTY AND SPOILED EGGS.

SO, THE NATION WILL BE GLAD TO SEE THE SC ABOVE POLITICS AND GOVERNANCE, WHICH ARE NOT ITS AREAS ANY WAYS.

SUPREME COURT IS THERE TO UPHOLD THE LAWS OF THE LAND ON ANY INJUSTICE CASES BROUGT IN.

PAKISTAN'S GOVERNANCE IS SOMEHOW CONTROLLED BY EVENTS THAT ARE EVEN BEYOND THE NATION'S CONTROL.A POOR COUNTRY DEVOID OF MUCH NATURAL RESOURCES AND HAVING THE WORLD'S MOST CRITICAL GEO STRATEGY WHILE ITS PEOPLE INCLUDING LAWYERS ARE DEVOID OF WORK ETHICS, CORRUPTION, RESPECT FOR THE FELLOW COUNTRYMEN, EXPLOITATING WHEN DEEMED BENEFICIAL, UNITY, DISCIPLINE, HONESTY AND YOU NAME ANY VICE.PAK ARMED FORCES STILL POSSESS SOME VALUES, DISCIPLINE AND UNITY.
YOU TRY TO SQUEEZE THEM OR BOTHER THEM OR TRY TO HARM AND HURT THEM, THEN THEY CAN KICK IN MARSHAL LAW WITH THE SUPPORT OF THOSE WHO ARE GENEROUSLY FEEDING THE NATION'S ECONOMY AND ARE THE KEY TO SOME VISIBLE PROSPERITY IN A POOR AND EASY GOING AND NON PRODUCTIVE PEOPLE.

FORCING MORAL VALUES AND RELIGION IS DONE BY THE AUTHORITIES IN SAUDI ARABIA OR IRAN.BUT, ARABS, PERSIANS AND TURKS HAVE PLEASURE ACCOMODATED THROUGH MUTAH OR SIGHE IN IRAN AND SIMILAR FACILITATIONS IN ARAB COUNTRIES OR TURKEY.LEVELS OF HONESTY AND ALMOST ABSENCE OF ROBBERIES ARE DUE TO BETTER MIND SET AND CHARACTER OF PEOPLE, WHO BEHAVE BETTER AS HUMANS. YOU TALK OF OUR PAK PEOPLE, WHO CANNOT EVEN SIT TWO TOGETHER ANY WHERE IN THE WORLD AND WOULD NOT HESITATE TO HURT FEELINGS OR PTHERWISE OF THE FELLOW COUNTRYMEN WHILE ACTING LIKE SLAVES TO THOSE WHO BENEFIT THEM AND TURN THE FACES WHEN BENEFITTED. LO AAJ HAM BI SAHIBE AULAD HO GAYEY."

HOLDING UP OF LAWS OF THE NATION BY SC IN CJ'S CASE IS GOOD THING. BUT DO NOT GET CARRIED AWAY WITH FALSE HOPES THAT LAWYERS WILL CHANGE THE NATION'S LIFE FOR BETTER.THEY ONLY KNOW HOW TO FILL THEIR POCKETS FASTER THAN ANY BODY ELSE WITHOUT BEING PRODUCTIVE AND MOSTLY SIDING WITH THE EVIL IN LEGAL CASES.

DOCTORS, ENGINEERS, SCIETISTS, PROFESSORS OR MILITARY CAN STILL BE MORE USEFUL.LAWYERS CAN MOSTLY GIVE YOU TAMASHA OF INCOMPARABLE CORRUPTION.

THE NATION WOULD NOT LIKE ITSELF TO DROP OUT OF THE FRYING PAN INTO THE FIRE.
