ISLAMABAD: Categorically stating not to accept President Musharraf in uniform or without uniform, the President of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) Qazi Hussain Ahmed said that the decision of APDM regarding abolishment of Electoral College would be implemented.
Talking to media men here outside of the Supreme Court, the MMA President said that President Musharraf has the dual posts of the President and Army Chief illegally and the government`s lawyers and representatives donot even know the end of the period of President Musharraf`s post.
Contradicting the reports regarding Govt-Fazal negotiations on any level, the veteran politician said that no negotiations are underway between Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman and the Government. By issuing such statement, the government wants to create misunderstandings between All Parties Democratic Movement (APDM) and MMA.
Condemning the recent suicide attacks in the country, the MMA President said that it reflects government`s failure and the only solution to get out of the current situation is the resignation of incumbent government and President Musharraf.
Commenting on the recent statement from the Saudi government regarding the return of Nawaz Sharif, Qazi Hussain Ahmed said that no statement has been issued from the Saudi government, adding that Nawaz Sharif is the citizen of Pakistan and no one can barred Pakistani citizen coming in the country.
