LAHORE: Former Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif, former Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, Begum Kulsoom Nawaz along with their 26 family members Sunday arrived here in Boeing 777 after 7-year exile.
Thousands of PML-N workers received them at airport. Former president Rafiq Tarar, Javed Hashmi, Tehmina Daultana, Zulfiqar Khosa, Sar Taj Aziz, Zafar Iqbal Jhagra and other party leaders were present in airport lounge to welcome Mian Nawaz Sharif.
Airport premises echoed with slogans of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. The special plane carrying Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif and other family members landed at Lahore air port two years beyond schedule. PML-N workers entered into lounge breaking all barriers. Police forced out the PML workers form airport limits due to security concerns.
The PML workers kept on staging bhangra on the roads of Lahore on the beating of drum. Traffic remained suspended on key avenues.
Nawaz Sharif plane landed at 6.25 pm in Allama Iqbal airport. A heavy contingent of security personnel was deployed on all the stipulated routes leading to Data Darbar. Bullet proof vehicle provided by Saudi King was standing ready out side air port. The PML workers set up reception camps all over Lahore.
Lahore city was decorated with posters and banners inscribed with pro Nawaz Sharif slogans.

Mian Nawaz Sharif asserted he had roots in people and he would come back to them .”My struggle against the dictatorship will continue. We want rule of law is in place, deposed judges are reinstated and national institutions of the country are strengthened”, he underscored
He held APDK would take final decision about participation in the upcoming general elections. Love for Pakistan runs into my blood”, he added.
Pakistan had come into being through democratic process, he said adding only democracy can sustain it Nation is looking at the prevailing situation. The circumstances are not favorable for elections. People should be afforded opportunity to express their opinion freely, he stressed.
As soon as Mian Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif came out of lounge, the workers lifted them on their shoulders.
Sharif brothers stood at bullet proof and waved hands to the slogans of people. They clasped their hands and expressed solidarity with the people.
