SUKKUR: PML (N) Head Mian Nawaz Sharif Monday cautioned that any wrong decision, could usher in dangerous crisis thus resulting in further bifurcation of country.
While addressing a mammoth public gathering in the city, he pledged that he was more loyal to his Country rather than any of his own personal interests, and gains.
He accused President Musharraf of not adhering to any one of his 7-point agenda, he had presented to masses after his military coup against an elected government.
He claimed that no scandal had ever surfaced during his government, as compared to a pile of scandals delivered by Musharraf regime, whose hands were soiled with blood of countless innocent citizens.
He said that his struggle was not aimed at personal motives, but to restore constitution, democracy and reinstatement of deposed judiciary, urging the masses to lend their full support if they thought that he was on righteous path.
He also accused weak, subjugative and indecisive moves of the Musharraf regime as being responsible for the prevailing crisis and applauded all the defiant judges of Supreme Court for their righteous stand.
He declared that the time for a consensus government had arrived and masses would decide about rule of the democracy and a perpetual end to army interference in national politics.
The gathering was also addressed by such imminent leaguers as Elahi Baksh Soomro, Salim Zia, Mamnoon Hussain, others.
After delivering his Sukkur address, Nawaz Sharif paid a visit to the ancestral village of Mian Soomro, where he condoled with sons of Syed Ghous Ali Shah about demise of their mother and brother, and also offered condolence prayers, after which the mammoth rally of his party headed towards the Punjab border town of Rahimyar Khan.
Earlier when Mian Nawaz Sharif arrived in Sukkur from Karachi, thousands of jubilant PML (N) activists greeted the former PM with great joy and pomp.
Later on while talking to women delegates of party in Digri, he vowed to wipeout PML (Q) in the forthcoming general elections, so much that they (PML-Q) would be left with no quarter, whatsoever.
While talking to a delegation of women’s wing, which included Dr. Shaheen, Dr. Ghazala Yasmeen Manzoor and others at the residence of PML (N) Karachi leader Saleem Zia, Sharif said that PML (N) had always encouraged women activists of the party who were struggling side by side with their male counterparts.
Mian Nawaz Sharif was in Digri in connection with the Provincial constituency of PML (N), PS-66 which was being contested by woman candidate of PML (N), Mrs. Rukhsat Qadir, who was lauded by Mian Nawaz Sharif for daring to contest seasoned politicians.
He also appealed to voters of NA-227 and PS-66 to vote overwhelmingly for PML(N) candidate.
