Swiss court convicts Benazir and Asif

RAWALPINDI: All the cases registered against late PPP Chairperson Benazir Bhutto have been dropped after her death in Liaquat Bagh rally on December 27, 2007.

The references against the former Prime Minister which were under trial included Assets Reference in court no 1, ARY and SGS reference in court no 2, Cotechna in court no 3 and Ursus Tractor Scheme Reference.

The name of Benazir Bhutto has been dropped from all the references after the statement of Persecutor General NAB in the Accountability Courts.

Applications were filed under the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) from Benazir Bhutto for seeking withdrawal of the cases and the decision on these applications were suspended till the final decision by the Supreme Court on NRO.

Persecutor General National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Dr. Danishwar Malik was the prosecuting lawyer while Arshad Tebraiz Warsi Advocate appeared on behalf of late Benazir Bhutto instead of Farooq H Naik.

Meanwhile, the hearing against Asif Ali Zardari, former DG FIA Rehman Malik and former Federal Minister Nawab Yousuf Talpur in BMW Car Reference, assets reference and Ursus Tractor Scheme References has also been adjourned till February 20 until the final decision of the Supreme Court regarding NRO.

End.

What do you think about the story?

Read what others have to say

May Allah forgive the deceased, however the one who owes something to anyone is not forgiven by Allah SWT for the debt owed, only the one who it is owed to can forgive.
No reason to keep scratching the wound.
However the Mr % should still be held responsible until cleared by a court of law along with his cronies and partners in crime against the nation of Pakistan.

Judge done it right to delete the name of BB who passed away from the list because she is no more there to attend and naturally the name got to be taken off as per law everywhere in the world. When a person dies takes the debts with him/her and nothing to be paid I believe so.
