Pakistan Security Forces are successfully fighting an enforced battle all along her western boundaries since 2001. In the on going operation, the Security forces killed more than 1300 militants till May 27, 2009 and taken over the control of eight Mingora city intersections after intense clashes with the Taliban. As per Army Spokes man, Major General Athar Abbas, during the operation and clashes with the militants, security forces have encountered with number of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) besides hitting suicide bombers in various areas. The whole nation is supporting this operation against militants. Here, it’s also notable that NATO and US Forces deployed in Afghanistan are not paying any heat to the yield and are not even stopping militants crossing Pak – Afghan border. It was also found that Taliban are using the same weapons which are in possession of US Forces. The American equipment issued to forces present in Afghanistan is even available on the very cheaper rates in the bazaars of Peshawar. Therefore, NATO’s role is becoming quite questionable day by day and reflecting that either she failed against Taliban fighters or deliberately letting the militants enter into Pakistan. Thus, US and NATO Forces silence over terrorist’s border crossing only depicts that ISAF is trying to shift the war against terror inside Pakistan. If NATO and US is serious in elimination of terrorism then they have to change their on going policy of “to run with the hare and hunt with hound”.
The Pak forces have arrested number of foreigners while cleaning up the militants’ occupied areas. It was authenticated reports that these foreigners are coming from Uzbekistan, Chechnya, Iran, Arab countries and cross the border from Afghanistan side for entering into Pakistan. In this connection sources told that Qari Tahir Yuldashove has dispatched about two hundred Uzbek and other foreign fighters to assist Molana Fazal Ullah and his associates to participate in fighters against the military forces committed to eliminate the militants from Malakand Division, In this connection Al-Qaida is also joining hands with Taliban in Waziristan Agencies to target the military convoys as well as preparing vehicles for suicidal attacks in side Pakistan. The recent blasts of Regal Chowk Lahore and Peshawar might have been done by the foreign elements. The authorities should investigate the Foreign Agencies involvement since anti Pakistan countries / forces desire to cash the prevailing adverse security environment on western boundaries of Pakistan. The linkage of RAW’s involvement in Lahore blasts seem to be quite obvious because within an hour or so “The Hindustan Times “ made the headline stating complete details of the blasts which were even yet to be known to the local media. Moreover, selection of targets (CPO Office, ISI Headquarter & Rescue 15) itself are pointing towards the clear cut involvement of the RAW in the blast.
However, Pakistan Security Forces are very well aware of the moves of Taliban and tackling them with full devotion and strength. Resultantly despite having foreign assistance and support, the militants are demoralized, suffering heavy losses, speedily withdrawing and vacating the towns and villages leaving behind weapons and piles of ammunitions. Insurgents are holding latest versions of weapons, ammunition and equipments. But the question arises that how and from whom they are buying the American manufactured weapons and equipment. One point of view is that they are being supported by the drug mafia of Afghanistan. In this connection US has already shown her concern about Karzai’s brother and high officials connections’ with the drug lords of the area. The other assumption could be that these weapons and equipment is being provided to the militants through Indian consulates who are deployed all along the border. Third point of view is that CIA, RAAM , Mossad and RAW are providing these weapons to the militants for causing instability in the regional countries particularly in China, Pakistan and Sri Lanka with the aim of justifying their masters stay in Afghanistan. Reportedly, some of these weapons are of US origins, which are the part of the consignments sent by the Pentagon for her forces located in Afghanistan. As per The New York Times Report (“Arms sent by US May be Falling into Taliban Hands “) of May 20, 2009 proven true, since weapons and cartridges recovered from the dead bodies of miscreants reveal that their manufacturing companies are US based. C. J. Chivers stated in his article that the examination of the Taliban’s cartridges found telling signs of diversion: 17 of the magazines contained ammunition bearing either of two stamps: the word “WOLF” in uppercase letters, or the lowercase arrangements “bxn”. “WOLF” stamps marked ammunition from Wolf Performance Ammunition, a company in California that sells Russian made cartridges to American gun owners. The company has also provided cartridges for the Afghan soldiers and police officers, typically through middlemen. Its ammunition can be founded in Afghan government bunkers. In short US arms falling in the hands of Taliban do have serious implications and required detailed investigation. The possibilities are their that
RAW in collaboration of RAAM purchases the weapons and equipment from the corrupt Afghan , American and NATO soldiers and hand over to the planted Taliban.
Here, I would like to add that NATO-ISAF command in Afghanistan has to realize that the battle against Taliban and their extremist affiliates cannot be won by military means alone. Positive results in the war do require concrete, deliberated and sincere efforts. The general perception is that Pakistan security forces have delivered that much just in eight weeks which US and NATO failed to produce even in eight years or so. The NATO and Washington are also going for negotiations with Taliban but on the other hand Pakistan is being condemned on similar nature of negotiations with the peaceful locals Taliban. It means that NATO and US actions in relation to the talks with Afghan Taliban are just displaying of their double standards towards Islamabad. Frankly speaking NATO Forces are creating chaos, confusion and non serious attitude of their command channels towards the issue. They are just pressurizing and asking Pakistan to do more. In fact now it’s their turn to do much more in relation to war against terror since over 61,700 troops (including National Support Elements) from 39 countries have been failed in elimination of Taliban. Afghan National Armies supported by some 8,000 US troops still operate under the separate US command as part of the Operation Enduring Freedom. They are also responsible for guarding of the border and again the said force proven their inability to control the insurgents coming from Chechnya, Uzbekistan and Iran. These militants get the weapons and ammunition from the RAW training Camps and further entered into Pakistan territory to create designed troubles.
NATO and US are expanding operational engagement in Afghanistan and Pakistan with a view to curtain their failures in the past eight years. No improvements in the security environment have been noticed so far whereas situation has been deteriorated gradually. For instance, attacks on US/NATO forces increased from 900 in 2005 to 2,500 in 2006 and till August 2008 the figure raised to 3500. From January to August 2008, US/NATO forces suffered a total 455 casualties, including 68 US and 88 NATO soldiers. From October 2001 to August 2008, a total of 665 US and 302 NATO soldiers had lost their lives in battling the Taliban-led forces in Afghanistan. The defeat of deployed forces in Afghanistan reveal that either these forces lack professionalism or being bluffed by India / US for completion of their hegemonic design i.e. capturing CAR’s resources and containment of China. The Jewish poisoned western media propagating against Pakistan nukes arsenals and keep their eyes close over the risky Indian nuclear proliferation. American think thanks should know that only beneficiary of this war against terror is India, rest every country suffered with finical and lives losses. In this whole game plan India has tried to hit two birds in one stone.
NATO and US, if serious in elimination of militancy then they have to do , one, seize the border, Afghan government be asked to take actions against the drugs lord and mafia including her high officials, three, India be asked to stop spreading terrorism in the Pakistan , three, Pakistan be provided aid and necessary equipment, four, Jews media be asked to stop anti Pakistan Propaganda, five, policy of drone attacks be changed, six, US should not back anti Pakistan elements, seven, US government officials and CIA chief should refrain from giving statements against Pak nukes , eight , internally displaced persons of Swat be provided with finical support by the UNO and Obama should change his policy towards Islamic countries if believes in real change. Concluding, elimination of terrorisms is possible if US & NATO is ready to do more instead of displaying double standards while keeping the silence over the Pak Afghan border crossers. They should also discontinue with the thoughts that Pak army is not trained and nukes are unsafe. in this regards on May 17, 2009 Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez while commenting on remarks from various quarters on the level of Low Intensity Conflict (LIC) training of the Pakistani troops has said that Pakistani Army does not require any generalised foreign training for countering insurgency, except for much specialised weapons, equipment and high technology. He also maintained that strategic decisions regarding where, when and how many troops were deployed in each operation or sector was always a Pakistani decision, based on objective analysis and “our full understanding of threat spectrum”. President, Prime Minister and foreign office spokesman too categorically rejected western media campaign and American concern over Pakistan nukes and said that our Army is capable enough to protect our nuclear assets.
