ISLAMABAD: Minister for Interior Rehman Malik on Sunday warned the Lashkar-e-Islam (LI) chief, Mangal Bagh, of dire consequences, saying his fate would be the same as that of other terrorists. “Your fate is the same as that of other terrorists. You are not far away from the forces. The nation does not like your bullying tactics,” the minister said while talking to journalists here.

Baitullah Mehsud, Maulvi Faqir Muhammad and Muslim Khan had also used to announce their terror activities, Malik said, adding the unity of the nation made the annihilation of the Taliban and other terrorists possible.

Answering a question, Malik said the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Swat chief, Maulana Fazlullah, would be captured soon, while cases would be lodged against Muslim Khan under the anti-terror laws.

He said President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani had approved massive funds for the development of the troubled areas. Malik also lauded security forces for rendering unprecedented sacrifices in eliminating terrorists.

Meanwhile, a delegation from Fata, led by Senator Sardar Ali, called on Rehman Malik. The members of the delegation appreciated the president, the prime minister and the interior minister for their efforts for making the tribal areas peaceful.

End.
