I do not understand why there is such a strong opposition to the Kerry-Lugar Bill when the money is to be used for development projects in the country. US Senator Kerry termed the controversy on Kerry-Lugar Bill as “unfortunate” and stressed that it was a genuine effort on the part of the US to build a long term partnership between the two countries by investing $ 7.5 billion in next five years time for the socio-economic development of the people of Pakistan.
I would like to ask those opposing this bill to think in the interest of the country and not serve their own vested interests.
