On the one side the American media and the world at large keeps blaming Pakistan for not doing enough to help control the Taliban and al Qaeda while the former Pakistan Army Chief General (retd) Aslam Beg keeps saying that the US government is supporting the Taliban leadership.
I fail to understand why General (retd) Beg would think that the Americans are supporting the Taliban. Does Mr Beg have any proof to substantiate his claim or is he also in the business of conspiracy theories?
