ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday urged International Community to fulfill all promises made with Pakistan in war against terrorism adding undoubtedly we are committed to restore peace in entire South Asia.
According to Presidency Sources, President Zardari was talking to the designated Ambassadors and High Commissioners to Pakistan of Kyrgyzstan, Nigeria, Sudan, Kuwait, Brazil and Malaysia respectively.
We don’t want aid rather Trade from the world, President told them.
He said that Pakistan wants support of all countries in this hour of tough crises.
We will certainly defeat the menace of terrorism, he held.
He went on to say that during Friends of Pakistan and Donors Conference, promises made with Pakistan must be fulfilled, he urged.
He stressed the need to enhance trade relations with Pakistan thick and thin.
Pakistan he said that has paid heavy price in war against terrorism.
Earlier Envoys - designate of Kyrgyzstan, Nigeria, Sudan, Kuwait, Brazil and Malaysia presented their credential to President Asif Ali Zardari at an impressive ceremony held here at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Tuesday.
The Envoys called on the President separately and presented their credentials. In their meetings they discussed bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest.
The President, while felicitating the newly appointed envoys to Pakistan hoped that they will work for further cementing the already existing close and cordial relations of their countries with Pakistan.
Earlier, upon arrival of H.E. Mr. Bektur Asanov, Ambassador-designate of Kyrgyzstan, H.E. Mr. Adamu Saidu Daura, High Commissioner-designate of Nigeria, H.E. Mr. Muhammad Omer Musa Ali, Ambassador-designate of Sudan, H.E. Mr. Nawaf Abdulaziz Alenzi, Ambassador-designate of Kuwait, H.E. Mr. Alfredo Martinho Leoni, Ambassador-designate of Brazil and H.E. Mr. Dato Ahmad Anwar Adnan, High Commissioner-designate of Malaysia here at the Presidency, the National Anthems of Pakistan and their respective countries were played and the Envoys were presented Guard of Honour by a smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army.
