KABUL : An explosive device planted on a bicycle was detonated in Helmand province south of Afghanistan, killing three civilians and wounding five others on Wednesday, a local official said.
"The gruesome incident occurred in a bazaar in Nadali district this morning," spokesman for provincial administration Daud Ahmadi said. "As a result, three innocent civilians were killed and five others, including four civilians and one Afghan soldier, sustained injuries." He put the attack on enemies of peace, a term used against Taliban militants. But the outfit has yet to make comment.
