List of 314 Private Hajj Group Organisers released ISLAMABAD, August 01 (Online): Ministry of Religious Affairs and has released the list of 314 Private Hajj Group Organisers for the year 2006 selecting 83 new and retaining 231 Hajj Group Organisers under whom 60,0000 Pakistanis will perform Hajj. had selected 83 new Hajj Group Organisers besides retaining 231 Hajj Group Organisers who performed Hajj operations in 2005 and has released the list of 314 Hajj Group Organisers for the year 2006 in which 60,0000 Pakistanis will perform Hajj. For registration of Hajj organizers, the ministry received 868 applications. Ijaz-ul-Haq minister for religious affairs, Zakat and Ushr constituted a scrutiny committee and he himself headed the approval committee. After scrutiny of the applications on the basis of parameters like status of business, paid up capital, experience and general reputation, 83 new Hajj group organizers have been selected. These organizers are now being requested to execute performance bond duly supported by a bank guarantee at the rate Rs 5,000/ per Hajj application. On furnishing of these documents, they would be issued a formal registration letter. However, in the meantime, they are allowed to invite applications from their prospective clients. As a part of the policy, none of these organizers would be permitted to delegate the authorization to any other agent or appoint any sub-agent. Further they are obliged not to book any client for departure from any gateway other than the city for which they are registered. The public is advised, in its own interest, not to approach any agent or company who, in its own name, is not registered with the ministry. Otherwise, such transaction would fall out side the purview of the scheme. End.
