ISLAMABAD, August 29 (Online): Pakistan Railways has decided to establish rail link from Quetta-Bostan to DI Khan via Zhob for provision of direct connectivity from Balochistan to NWFP and in this regard the feasibility report will be conducted soon, it is learnt.
Sources in the ministry of Railways told Online that the about 295 kilometers Bostan-Zhob rail track was already there but it was not up to the international standard.
They said that the government wanted to change Bostan-Zhob rail track from narrow gauge to Broad gauge and establish 150 km new rail track from Zhob to Dera Ismail Khan.
They said that proposed rail link would function as an alternative corridor between northern parts of country with Karachi and Quetta.
