Under the amended NADRA ordinance 2006, NADRA is responsible for maintaining the updated and current state of the country's population through preserving the history records of the citizens. In case of a death, the successors are legally obliged to report the cancellation of CNIC of the deceased. Only blood relatives (next of kin) i.e, Father, Mother, Brother, Sister, Son, Daughter or Husband/ Wife of deceased person can apply for CNIC cancellation through NADRA Swift Registration Centers (NSRC).
