ISLAMABAD: Federal police have captured 2 wanted terrorists who are behind the killings of Maulana Azam Tariq, former provincial minister Bin Yameen and 45 people in bomb blast in Multan adding the operation is underway to arrest their other 4 accomplices.
This was said by SSP Islamabad Sikandar Hayat while addressing a press conference here Tuesday.
SSP Islamabad informed that the police has dismantled the network of terrorists and arrested two among them who were involved in various terrorist acts including killing of Maulana Azam Tariq, his three gun men and a driver. They killed 45 persons in bomb blast in Rashid Abad Multan. They also murdered former Auqaf Minister Punjab Bin Yameen and his two gum men.
The accused are Mudassar Ali alias Usman, Chaudhry alias Ali, Muhammad Ali alias Asif alias Abbas, he told. They have been arrested from the area of G-6 in Islamabad.
During the preliminary investigation the accused provided information about their 6 more accomplices, he told. Police teams have been dispatched to different areas of Punjab to arrest them, he added.
When asked about the links of arrested terrorists with the suicide attacks at Islamabad air port and Marriot hotel, he told nothing has been found during the investigation on their involvement in the suicide attacks.
