ISLAMABAD: After successful negotiations the aggravated students of the Jamia Farida situated in the lush green Margalla valley released three police personnel of Kohsar Police Station. According to details, angry students of the religious seminary "Jamia Farida" abducted SHO Kohsar Police Station Inspector Haq Nawaz Ranjha and tore off his uniform in order to take revenge from the government that it had arrested 22 of their fellow students on Sunday. When the three police personnel of Kohsar Police Station including Sub Inspector Muhammad Islam, Constable Afrasiyab and Constable Muhammad Fareed, came to Jamia Farida to get the SHO released, baton-wielding students also abducted them. Later on, ASP Kamran Adil, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Chaudhry Muhammad Ali and heavy contingents of police rangers reached the premises of E-7. However, after the telephonic dialogue between Secretary Interior Syed Kamal Shah and Mufti Muhammad Farooq administrator of Jamia Faridia, the cops were set free. Earlier, PM, Shaukat Aziz was informed about the latest abduction stunt of Jamia Hafsa during the meeting of the central executive committee of Pakistan Muslim League on Monday. After the briefing about the latest aggression on behalf of the Jamia Hafsa administration, the PM expressed his deep regrets about the unruly behavior of the Lal Masjid cleric and berated the incident. The other participants urged on a dialogue to resolve the crisis, and PML (Q) president Chaudhry Shujaat opined to let the events work themselves out amicably, urging government to avoid any untoward action that may spoil the event. The participants are said to have fully agreed with the policy of Mr. Shujat. Earlier, while addressing the central executive meeting of the PML (Q), the PM, Shaukat Aziz assured that the oncoming fiscal budget would be according to the aspirations of public, since it would be prepared according to the strategy of forthcoming general elections. Sources have informed Online that the process of budgeting has begun, and would be presented in the second week of June, focusing on alleviation of poverty, unemployment. Allocations for such important aspects as potable water, health, and education would be increased while more than Rs 500 billion would be allocated for developmental works, and further taxation would be avoided, encouraging relief instead. The PM expressed his deep, heartfelt sorrow over loss of innocent lives during the May 12 Karachi carnage, and expressed his regrets at the fact that CJ issue was being politicized. He also strongly refuted any deal with PPPP, quoting President Musharraf in this regard, and said that PML would contest elections alongside its allies.
