The nation is still mourning what it is dubbed as the bloodiest state-sponsored violence in Karachi on May 12, the day when Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudry was supposed to address a Sindh High Court Bar’s ceremony in connection the golden jubilee of Sindh High Court.

It, nevertheless, was expected that there could be some physical confrontation between the workers of rival parties as Muttehida Quami Movement, the major coalition partner in Sindh, had announced a counter rally, which, itself was a bizarre incident in the political history.

But, no one expected that there would be no government and law in Karachi on May 12. Erecting containers, vehicles, tankers and other barricades in an apparent bid to prevent the opposition activists and lawyers to proceed to the airport to welcome the chief justice blocked almost the city roads.

Armed supporters of MQM blocked Sharae Faisal, the city’s busiest road and the route where the chief justice was supposed to travel. They were firing on every moving thing, including ambulances. The law enforcing agencies were already disarmed so that they could not interfere in MQM’s business.

The most worrying and pinching aspect of May 12 carnage is that the issue is no more of a political nature. It has assumed ethnic proportions as, according to media reports, various people were gunned down after being identified as Pushtuns by the armed terrorists. Even, a Pushtun driver of Edhi ambulance, who were carrying an injured worker of Awami National Party to the hospital, was intercepted by the armed persons, and shot dead in broad day light.

Here are some questions
1) Was this a calculated conspiracy to resort to ethnic clashes in Karachi?
2) Where does MQM stand now? Was this all made to happen because a huge rally in favor of the chief justice would decide that Karachi is not a MQM’s city as it claims ?
3) Was MQM’s announcement of a counter rally on the same day in line with democratic norms?
4) Who should be really held responsible for May 12 massacre?

Why drag india into it.
I see most here are dragging India into their arguments by comparing it to pakistan's self made misfortunes. Indians dont care or bother about what happens in pakistan. They are too busy building up their economy and getting its poor people on their feet. it has enough troubles of its own with corruption, poverty etc but going slow and steady in nation building. I suggest Pakistanis put their country interests first before politics and self gain.

Unity!
Let us unite India and Pakistan! Muslims are united when there are Hindus. Hindus are united when there are Muslims. In India the Muslims are united Sunni-Shia. In Pakistan Sunni-Shia fights like cat and dogs. In Bangladesh Hindus are united, no matter caste. In northern India fighting takes place along the caste borders. The whole subcontinent should be united. Religion is just a dress which we are wearing. We have so many things that unite us. Thank You for the word.

Another attempt to malign Musharraf
while what the MQM has done in wrong, it is criminal to point fingers at the federal government and musharraf. security of the rally was a provincial subject, and musharraf had clarified in an interview that a malicious campaign to link musharraf based on his ethnicity to the MQM. altaf hussain is a terrorist, and he deserves the punishment of the masses for unleashing many brutal campaigns on the people. but the army does not particularly like him. those elements here who are calling for the murder of altaf or linking musharraf to the incident need to have their brain examined. the pakistan army has never supported state terrorism inside pakistan. its role is to defend, not to kill innocent civilians. musharraf has fought battles for his country.

Let’s have a debate, shall we?

Q1. How many of you believe the cold blooded murder in Nishtar Park by the MQM was a calculated target killing to weaken the opposition in Sind before the election?

Q2. How many of you believe that the election will be fair?

I would conclude based on the past election records of the present dictatorship in Pakistan that the election results are already finalised. This kind of view is common in western media; they are quite about this as they would not find any one else serving their interest in the destruction of Pakistan better than Musharaf not even Mrs 10%.

Q3. There is enormous load shedding all over Pakistan; this is the first time that this scale of disaster has been in the history of the country. Deliberate?

Q4. Do you believe that the dictator’s cronies are lying to the people and the world that this is due to massive scale of economic activity?

Q5. Do you believe that the IMF is right to say that there is no economic development or any increase economy for the last 3 years in Pakistan?

Q6. Have you also noticed when the Indian terrorist altaf calls up his slaves in Karachi, suddenly there is plenty of electricity available for lights, when all around is complete darkness?

Q7. Musharaf is an Indian, born in India, trained in India, his family and friends are still in India, same as terrorist altaf. Do you believe that both RAW trained agents?

History proves that Musharaf crossed the border illegally in 1972 when he was 22 years old according to his false documents, and believe it or not he was conscripted in the Pakistan Army straight away and Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was in power at that time. I would like to remind everyone that Bhutto was solely responsible for East Pakistan break-up, if he wasn’t drunk or greedy for power; east and West Pakistan would still be one. He robbed Mujeeb-ur- Rahman for his right to be Prime Minister. Bhutto was a charismatic speaker but funnelled millions of Pakistan wealth in overseas banks that could feed 7 of his generations to live in absolute luxury.

Q8. Where do you reckon Benazir gets her money from?
Q9. What job she does?
Q10. What industry she owns?
Q11. How many of you believe that the Pakistan earthquake was a natural disaster?
Q12. How much land and disaster funds that we gave to help the victims, do you reckon military dictator, his cronies and Indian terrorist altaf usurped in NWFP and Azad Kashmir? Have a guess.

Benazir is a willing partner in keeping the opposition divided. Her bosses are the same as Musharaf & Terrorist Altaf.

Terrorist Altaf Hussein uses the same tactics with his in-laws, and known for regularly beating his wife, people are asking question about the where-about of his father-in-law and his wife has not been seen by anyone recently. Terrorist Altaf hates women. Don’t be surprised if you see statements from his association with male and female prostitutes in the near future, hopeful you will hear from them when the case comes to court, that is why Indian Terrorist organisation i.e. MQM tried to pay off our Hero Imran Khan which he rejected. Well done Imran.

Q13. How many of you believe that Terrorist Altaf is a pervert?

Q14. How many of you believe that responsible Pakistanis should inform the world that any dealings, contracts are null and void under the dictatorship, as the government does not represent the people of Pakistan?

I would like to finish of by saying that Pakistani & Muslims should not blame American or British people, as more than 73% of them have the same view. Bush & Blair do not speak for their respective people; neither do Dictator Musharaf, Terrorist Altaf and Mrs 10%.

Q15. How many of you believe that our Hero Dr Abdul Qadir Khan is being poisoned slowly and slowly getting exposed to the radiation by the present Dictatorship, as you remember Litveyenko’s recent death in UK?

Q16. How many of you still believe the Pakistan Nuclear defence is still safe?

Q17. How many of you read ‘Military Inc.: Inside Pakistan's Military Economy’ by Ayesha Siddiqa?

Q18. How many of you believe that General Hamid Gul will make the best Head of all armed forces of Pakistan after Musharaf?

Q19. How many of you believe that Dr AQ Khan will make a better President as Dr Kalam for India, if he survives the attempt on his life by Musharaf?

Q20. How many of you believe that Imran Khan is the only hope for Pakistan as the PM?

Q21. How many of you believe that his honourable Chief Justice Iftikhar will get justice?

Thank you for your patience and perseverance.

My brothers
After hearing above comments, I feel sorry for the common man living in Pakistan. Now I realise what it means by not having democracy. I sincerely pray to God that soon my brothers and sisters on the other side of border get freedom from the cluches of the autocrate and genuine democracy flourish in that part of the world.

Good Governance
May sense prevail. It is a crisis of good governance in Pakistan and exists in my country too.Pakistan is doubly unfortunate due to weak institutions despite patriotic citizens.Democracy slows down growth but eventually delivers when all develop a stake.Islam,a great religion of a billion followers is currently failing to unify. But thats not at fault. Its its impatient and dogmatic followers which wish to be its sole spokesperson are to blame. Why can't they practice TOLERANCE.Maybe, moral pressure politics of Gandhian Non-Violence and Truth may be a solution to their ills. There's no dearth of well meaning patriotic Pakistanis within & without.Secular education, tolerance, wakeful civil society, respect for other's opinion, women's education, land reforms, seasoned macroeconomic politics,a visionary & charismatic leader like maybe Imran who may encourage growth of opposition may bail out.But danger of basing personality based politics will be repeating India's regrettable poltical culture being emulated. Also,a belief that India and Pakistan will be sovereign nations in a neighbourhood as friends and shall not covet each other's territory by altering boundaries could lead to reduced defence budget releasing funds for social and economic developmental ventures and bring in much sought foreign direct investment FDI.Neither nation can fight and win a war with each other,so why not relax and focus on building than abusing each other and exhibiting pulp patriotism by either countrymen.May God give all the motivation to first try controlling themselves than attempt control of THE OTHER. Regards, Ashutosh

Bitter Truth exposing reality
17th June 2007 a Sami-ul-Haq of Jamiat-e-Ulma Islam has now openly declared on GEO news that Jamat-e-Islami, and PML(N) has done all the massacre in Karachi on 12th May 2007, because they have lost their mendate in Sindh and to hold the remaining they have done this violence on 12th May 2007. If MQM was really a terrorist then why their was even not a single political violence in Sindh in seven years specially from 2004 where as after 12th may 51 offices of MQM were burnt and their workers got warning from opposition parties to be killed. On 12th may feudal, land lords, waderas, and some friends of Musharraf have traped MQM because they were afraid of this middle class, lower middle class, peoples who have proved in just only 4 years what they can do for the wellfare of peoples, and for Pakistan, and another major reason is that they don't want to see MQM as a national political party so they have do all this violence to backthem in 80's and 90's where as MQM has not says on any occassion after 12th may thay they are the party of only Mahajir's or Urdu Speaking but the opposition parties are again and again saying that this party is only belong to a particular community, by these comments from opposition parties are trying to distribute peoples in ethnic groups as they have distributed them in NWFP and Balochistan. After ten years PMLN says that MQM is involved in Hakeem Said murder then where were their mind in between this long periode, and MQM has defend this charge in Sindh High Court and won the case, "The News" has also printed a column by Kamran Khan who was now in GEO News on Aaj Kamran Khan Kay Sath, which published the real story behind Hakeem Said murder and Nawaz Sharif was held responsible in judiciary inquiry. The responsible of Massacre on 12th may were those peoples who bring weapons in politics early in 60's or 70's in Zia-Ul-Haq era and JI is only on the List after them Al-Zulfiqar while at that time there was no name or sign of MQM.

How to control the country
To calm the freedom movement US destroyed the clean water supply and infected it with disease, cut food, fuel and electricity supply to starve the people, malnourished, some have died and the rest dying slowly. No energy to protest or take up arms, these are standard war games that are normally applied by the conquering armies to subdue, control and slowly kill of the general population.

Does this remind you of any other country other than Iraq?
Do you not believe that this is a deliberate attempt?.. to punish the people for not happily accepting US slavery via hand of evil dictator and his evil vultures?

There is enormous load shedding all over Pakistan, this is the first time that this scale of disaster has been in the history of the country. The dictators cronies lying to the people and the world that due to massive scale of economic activity. The Truth is there is no economic development or any increase for the last 3 years, reported by the IMF.

Have you also noticed when the Indian terrorist altaf calls up his slaves in Karachi, suddenly there is plenty of electricity available for lights, when all around is complete darkness?

The Oracle, Pakistan

Terrorist Government
Yes, Musharaf is definitely no Zia; I would like to remind the people to judge a leader, when he or she goes away, what he/she has left behind. It’s a proven fact that Zia, his family or friends made no money what so ever or owned any assets. Zia made Pakistan’s military 10th strongest in the world. His son, who is the now the religious minister is a disgrace. His father is probably turning in his grave.

Benazir did try to find dirt on Zia, but the bitch failed miserably. She also failed to find any dirt on Nawaz Sharif. Musharaf was the architect behind the Kargill incident, he was the army chief, deliberately had all the Pakistani defence force killed while they were withdrawing from Kargill, in collaboration with India. India had no chance in hell, ever conquering Kargill. Check Indian Archives, then you will know. Else Indian did not need Clinton to get involved.

Musharaf is an Indian, born in India, trained in India, his family and friends are still in India, same as terrorist altaf. They are both RAW trained agents. Musharaf crossed the border illegally in 1972, and believe it or not he was conscripted in the Pakistan Army straight away and Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was in power at that time. Remind everyone that Bhutto was sole responsible for East Pakistan break-up, if he wasn’t drunk or greedy for power; east and West Pakistan would still be one. He robbed Mujeeb-ur- Rahman for his right to be Prime Minister. Bhutto was a charismatic speaker, funnelled millions of Pakistan wealth in overseas banks, could feed till 7 generations through it and live in absolute luxury.

Washington already planned for Evil Dictator Musharaf to come in power, as Sharif’s democracy didn’t suit them as they had planned extensive destruction in Afghanistan and Pakistan. It is a known fact that Afghanistan has massive oil, gas, uranium reserves and other natural resources along with fertile land to grow plenty of poppies, as Taliban destroyed all of them. They needed Musharaf, planted in 1972 to take effect; Kargill was orchestrated with Indian help. War tensions were all a drama.

Nawaz’s biggest mistake is to shake hands with Benazir. She was finished, had no respect in and out of Pakistan. Her husband was known as Mr 10%, he sucked the blood out of every deal, partnership and any development projects in Pakistan. His hired men killed many for money, and even killed much admired actor Sultan Rahi; simply he refused to give his hotel to him.

Benazir’s evil ways were well known in Oxford University,. Her Mafia husband knew all this and uses it to blackmail her on regular basis; there is also plenty of evidence of domestic abuse. Benazir & Zardari did the same thing as Bhutto, funnelling country’s funds in foreign banks. Most of you may remember that Swiss authorities found Benazir & Zardari guilty on 66 illegal bank accounts in Swiss banks. But Swiss authorities actually claim that there are in total 180 accounts linking them to Bhutto & Zardari, but Zardari & Benazir admitted to 66 accounts, which has Pakistan’s millions kept stolen from the people of Pakistan. Benazir must not be trusted in any circumstances. MMA, Nawaz Sharif or Imran Khan should avoid her like a plaque. She is a willing partner in keeping the opposition divided. Her bosses are the same as Musharaf & Altaf.

Terrorist Altaf Hussein uses the same tactics with his in-laws, and beats his wife, people are asking question about the where-about of his father-in-law and his wife.

All the Pakistan armed forces promotion and demotion are directed from Washington with Indian Government wishes. Musharaf is trying very hard to sell Kashmir to India, no Pakistani or Kashmiri will ever accept his evil proposal. I believe that World must take notice. Musharaf has so far killed thousands of Pakistan citizens, and he is running terrorist cells in collaboration with the terrorist Mahajir movement (MQM).

I would like to finish of by saying that Pakistanis & Muslims do not blame American or British people, as more than 73% has the same view as the Muslims.

My personal experience has shown that people of US and Britain are intelligent, decent and very friendly, I cannot say the same for French. Bush & Blair do not speak for their people; neither do Dictator Musharaf, Terrorist Altaf and Mrs 10%.

Thank you
The Oracle, United Kingdom

Justice Defied
MQM murderers are running around free, Genral-President
as usual working overtime to
ensure his re-election,Altaf Hussain enjoying life in safe sanctuary provided by Tony Blair, Benazir making deals with General, Maulana Fazal Haq dubiously allied with establishment. Imran Khan, is the only leader, defying MQM & its head honcho. Why doesn't opposition shout in single voice & demand justice on behalf of the families who lost their dear ones ? Murder is a capital offence not a misdemeanour.

Shameless army of Pakistan
There is no denying the military dominant role in Pakistan. The military owns the best farmland and several of the largest industrial conglomerates. Pakistan Army has got unprecedented history of conquering their own country many times and 100,000 soldiers surrendering to the Indian army in 1971, and mis adventures of 1965 and Kargil. They have main role in dismembering the country in 1971. They are best in plundering the wealth of the Pakistani people. Pakistani people have to starve to pay for their luxury life. They take 80% in name of defense budget and tell us they are best? They are good in anything except for their main job, fighting with enemy. They were trained for military purposes but they want civil administrative jobs for which they have no training and experience for. The job they are supposed to be doing can’t do it properly. Which Army in the world has been exempt from Tax, Not answerable to the Government or Public? of Course it is Pakistan army. The biggest cause of the plight of Pakistani people is the 33 years of Army rule out of 59 years. It is not India that is our Enemy it is the Pakistani Army that is the biggest enemy of Pakistan.Look at India their army never muddled in the Government affairs and let the Democratic process grow. When I say Pakistani army it means Army Officers , not the poor simple soldiers whose fate they will never let change.
May GOD save us from our BEST army!

MQM
12th.May every one saw who was behind the planned killing. The planner is in UK and his agents who are in assembly were there on that day to make sure that they MQM a terror rather than a political party. They went to kashmir after the earthquake to help but they chalked the walls "Altaf bhai" we want you, i being resident of kashmir do not want a terrorist organization in place.
Why does Altaf hussain come back to Pakistan, what is he doing in UK.
Very strange leader.

Civil war is coming...
The enemy of Muslims want us to have a civil war all over the Muslim world, and we are having it.

How could the west trust Muslim countries, when they fight for one man, a judge. How many have already been killed for that one man? That looks so stupid. Muslim countries already in civil war; Algeria, Sudan,Somalia Lebanon,Palestine,Iraq and Afghanistan. Countries soon will adopt civil war are; Pakistan, Jordan, Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Egypt. Israel is more diverse then any Muslim country when it comes to political affiliation, but there will never be a civil war. Whay is that? Cause they put the interests of Israel above their own interests versus the Muslims that they put their own interests first. More Muslims are killed by their own Muslims and why is that? Cause they don't think twice about the consequences of their action.
Akbar Khan, Pakistan

Misplaced priorities & Blind ambitions
Wake up General.Look around you. People are asking for justice.Let us not play blame game.Put aside your personal
ambitions for re-election.Get
hold of those who carried out
massacre.If you think, you are
the last anchor of hope, then
do what is expected of you.Be
an honourable leader.Instead of devoting your energies to
get re-elected, try to leave
a legacy that whole nation can
be proud of. There ia storm of
ethnic strife brewing up.Be a
leader of the nation & stop patronizing a party headed by
a bunch of hatredmongers.

Pakistan cannot be a country unless the people living there go back and see the mutual struggles which were made by the founders of this country.
People who love Pakistan are obvious. They are respecable and have lovely bright eyes. But there are those with eyes full of hatered! Many tribes and languages. Many different religions. But lets see carefully: These were all present at the time of struggle too. Pakistan can be a country only if their citizens respect the Flag and national anthem by heart. We must not be misguided.
And must respect the idea of Pakistan. Otherwise nothing can hold the country together. Each citizen must love the country. This is so simple and enjoyable. Waking up in the morning, cleaning the house but also the places outside the house, Streets, roads. The tress which once saw nice kind people still want to see them.
There are more Muslims living in India but they Love India more than the People of Pakistan love Pakistan!!!!!!
I think I am clear cut. Doing so would let us be attracted towards other nations. Nobody respect a tyrant and traitor.
We need to educate ourselves. And that is easier than hating each other.
Ali Hazara, Pakistan

We need to be calm and collected
It’s really unfortunate and distressful that the so called political party MQM is performing such a cruel act to kill its own fellow countrymen. People of Pakistan should realize that it’s not a fight between Mohajirs and Natives. Mohajirs are the most decent people of Pakistan.

We need to be calm and collected on this critical juncture of history. We all should combine our forces to bring democracy and rule of law in our homeland. And the culprits of the Karachi’s massacre should be brought under the hammer of justice.

This country was not created for the bunch of bloody Army generals, who are exporting our fellow countrymen to our enemies, grabbing our public lands unlawfully, killing the innocent people and suppressing our voices by putting bans on electronic and print media.

We have to change this by coming out on roads and show them that this country is created for 160 million masses, who want genuine democracy, independent judicial system and free media.

Altaf or Pratap
I tell you what Altaf or most appropriately Pratap is doing for wining a bread? He is a high professional hired terrorist like Abdullah Ocalan of Turkey. He earns in millions US$ on demands of his masters!!! US & UK do shelter such terrorists who are workjing against Muslim countries, they call them Mujahid!!!
Aftab Alam, Pakistan

Is is also a state Terrorism?
A strange event in my Pakistan when we have not blamed any foriegn hand in the massacre at Karachi. It explores a weakness in the state power. Why our "leaders" use their all powers to protect thier own powers and why all law enforcing agencies have strong arms againt the poor ? Why do they make themselves deaf when the targeted innocent people were calling them for help? Where was the 16,000 force when 40 people were killed on the open and naked roads? I dont point my forefinger to any party or person but I think that YATEEM LAHOO and BAY_AASRA LAHOO is not so much cheap to digest. People awake and bring a revolution to throw away the rulers in the dustbin of history. Our governments has always made a line of diferenciation between the KHAS PEOPLE and AAM LOG but this line will be a rope for death for those who swellow the loaves of the poor and rule them under the title of GOD BESTOWED GOVERNANCE.When there was no foriegn hand then it is the duty of the nation to identify and cure the actual "casual organisms" to protect the country.
Dr Mazhar, Pakistan

ALTAF
I would like to ask MR. ALTAF HUSAIN a question, can he tell people of karach and Pakistan, what kind of work he do to earn his living, what kind of job, where he works, He was born in a poot family now he is playing in millions, where is that money comes from, can he answer this, If he loves Pakistan and MAHJIR as he said, than why he is holding UK passport, why can't he come to Pakistan try to fight for his rights.

Re:Biggest political party(Pakistan army)
Mr Khan,
If this political party does exist then Pakistan will not exist either. You should be thankful to Pakistan Army for keeping this country running and strong. Tell me who else can run the country better then Army?
Can PPP? ANP? PMLN run the country? just give me one name. All these jageer daar wadairay are only interested in ripping off my beloved Pakistan. Tell me how many of other Governments were able to have more then 20 billion dollars deposites in foreign reservs? answer is NONE. I am sick and tired of cry babies who just think negetively or who those can not not think as Pakistanis.
One last thing.
When this country is on a right track to be the best in southeast asian region and we are growing, we are becoming stronger and stronger and now these foreign agents "unfortunately" a lot of them want to take us back to stone age.
Open your eyes and think like Pakistani.
Just remember Democratic governments are for educated people and in our country 85% people are uneducated and live in suppressed societies run by jageer daar and wadairays.

Karachi Massacre???
Where were these critics MQM when during the PPP and PMN Governments almost on daley basis 20-50 people were killed every day but there was no one there to raise the voice. Now when international Media showing pictures of violance in karachi (Majority of these pictures are belong to PPP and ANP workers ) but some reason Mutheda is accused of violance yet no other party want to take the responsibility of what ever happend in Karachi. Where were these Critics when General Babar call people of Karachi Terrorists and ordered to kill thousands of young workers of MQM.Shahbaz shareef said once that General Baber should be procecuted for genocide of MQM workers. On his order security agencies were trasfering thousands of young boys to unknown places where these boys were tortured and killed and barried and the families of those killed still have no clue that where there children go after agencies arrested them. Now we have an other racist (imran Khan) is joining a team of Karachi haters to get some votes of Karachi haters (racists). He should go to hell along with general Babar.

Low- life worm
How many stones were over-
turned before MQM found low life worm Altaf Hussain ? He is a third rate intellectual thriving on malice toward non
urdu speaking inhabitants of Karachi. Much to his luck, he
found his benefactors in the
army uniform and timely help from double crossing good for
nothing stooges like Choudrys of Gujrat and like of Sheikh
Rashid & Durrani. I think we
ought to blame Tony Blair for
providing a safe sanctuary to
this criminal that every sane
person would like to see behind the bars for rest of his miserable life. Come what
may, he will never be able to
set foot in Pakistan.I believe
in sanctity of life but I am willing to make exception-get
rid of this low life, Altaf by
any mean.

Accountability in the Khilafah
Having this dispiclable fraud indian leader called altaf hussain, what is he leading??a death squad? sitting in uk with a uk passport and he is the pimp agent leader??he should be tried in an islamic court for TREASON AND MASS MURDER.PERIOD ENOUGH OF WESTERN AGENTS.SO MANY PEOPLE THIS FRAUDIA HAS KILLED AND NO ACCOUNTIBILTY?? Accountability (muhasabah) is not the first word that springs to mind when discussing the Muslim world. Dictatorship, rigged elections, tyranny and torture pretty much sum up most Muslim countries today. The level of cruelty inflicted upon the people easily rivals if not surpasses some of the worst oppression in history. Unfortunately for those living there accountability and the rule of law seem a distant dream.
my verdict is DEATH FOR THIS MASS MURDERING RAT.ALTAF HUSSAIN

Stop Hatered
Well these were things I could also read on the walls of Karachi.

Let me ask do you actually know the difference between

"Snatching" and "Donation" ?
'Fear of Death' and 'Free Will' ?
'House Arresting In-Laws' and 'Respecting Wife'?
'Flee' and 'Leadership'?
"gadha ghora" and "Lion" ?

Can you tell me what does MQM stands for actually. 'Muhajir Movement' or 'Mutheda' Movement?

If Mutahed then you are 'Mutahed' with whom ?

If Muhajir then can I ask why you people are still Mohajirs after 25 years of your 60 – 70 seats out of 700 on this motherland, and after how long you are planning to be called as Pakistanis ? if never, then when are you people planning to go back to your land?

You are too sons of Pakistan, don't get used, your blood is as valuable as anybody else's. Stop fighting with each other before our enemy starts.

May 12.2007---Barbarianism at its best.
As I hereby sit down to engrave a few words on the events of a never ending day, 12 May 2007. I stare at the keyboard while my mind goes wandering trying to find adequate words to state a sheer act of barbarianism which was witnessed by the entire nation. The day, which started of with utter peace turned into a bloodbath. The entire nation then kept on wondering regarding what went wrong? Why everything that happened did, seem to be pre-planned? Where were the law enforcing agencies? Where were those 12,000 rangers which were deployed in Karachi, as per the Home Department Sindh? Why wasn’t a single gun shot fired by the Police when an open act of annihilation and butchery was taking place? As usual, there would be no answer to these questions and yet again, they’ll fall on deaf ears. Let me lay down yesterday’s events according to their occurrence and let us see if there’s any element that can be found which can indicate if these acts weren’t planned.
It was at 12:13pm when the Chief Justice-Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry landed at Quaid-e-Azam International airport along with his Chief Lawyer-Barrister Aitezaz Ahsan, Director Supreme Court Bar Association-Muneer.A.Malik and 23 other lawyers. At 12:20pm the first shooting incident took place between MQM and MMA workers at Drigh Road-Shahra-e-Faisal under C.O.D over-head. 12:27pm Barrister Aitezaz Ahsan holds press conference where he reveals that the Police and the Rangers at Karachi Airport tried to kidnap the CJ, followed by an incident where the I.G Sindh tried to force the CJ to take a helicopter to the Bar Association. 12:35pm, firing incidents at Malir Halt where an EDHI Ambulance driver was shot and killed while he was trying to commit an inhuman and an unethical act - trying to save the lives of the wounded. 12:43pm, Secretary-Interior Sindh while talking to Geo mentions that he has had a word with the CJ and a helicopter is at Stand-by awaiting for him, and the roads will be open on the command of CJ and all the blockades will be removed (which never happened). 12:52pm Hell broke loose, firing incidents at Kala Board Malir, Patel Para, Landhi, Guru Mandir, Baloch Colony etc. 30 were killed and hundred’s were wounded.
It was after 1:38pm that I realized that since the past 25 years of my life, I have been living in a jungle filled with vicious and sadistic beasts around me. A private channel-Aj Television was attacked by a group of armed men. Loaded with the state-of-the art arms and ammunitions including Ak-47’s, Mouser’s, MP5’s, and 9mm’s etc. The most intriguing element about this pre-planned attack against Aj-TV was that the gun men were so well equipped that their ammunition never ran out. It was indubitably not a random firing incident as their stations were set, and the way they were shooting clearly indicated that they were highly trained professionals and the best at what they do. I saw the Director News and Current Affairs Aj TV-Talat Hussein pleading and requesting the Ministers online to send some troops to stop this massacre, and the only thing given to him was silence. 30 minutes, 40 minutes and 50 minutes were the time given to those 550 people trapped inside the building for the troops to arrive. And we could do nothing except to laugh on these statements. One of the ministers while talking to Talat Hussein mentioned that it was because of the blockades that the rangers are facing problems in arriving at the scene, while I kept wondering why wasn’t it difficult for those professional gunmen to arrive over there, and above all why wasn’t it difficult for those people who were providing them constant backup of ammunition, which was being done through vehicles as well………….. BUT...our media is empowered, says our government.

What was more shocking was that after this mass execution which took place at Karachi, the following evening a festive evening took place in Islamabad.

Watch out Altaf Hussain...your time has come to an end
Mohajir's are the most cultured people of Pakistan .

Mohajirs played a vital role in the creation of Pakistan .

Altaf Hussain has hijacked the educated Mohajirs population at gun point for over 2 decades.

Altaf Hussain and his fellow terrorists will have to pay for the politics of murder of anyone who has had a difference of opinion with them.

They will have to pay for the politics of extortion, the politics of rape, the politics of terrorism, the politics of kidnapping, the politics of "daketi".

Mohajir's must take the city of Karachi back from these terrorists and servants of the Mafia Boss Altaf Hussain.

We've had enough!!!

MQM supporters must reject the politics of terrorism.

The politics of murder has been rejected by the Great people of Karachi .

How many more people will you kill?

More than 10% of the population of Pakistan lives in the city Of Karachi ? Are you going to kill 16 million people?

Shame on you.

Your time has come to an end.

The time of Peace and prosperity for the people of Pakistan and specially for the people of Karachi has arrived.

Support Tehreek e Insaf to take this city back from Altaf Hussain and his terrorist companions and lets make it livable again.

Support Tehreek e Insaf to take the power from the "Coalition of Corrupt" and give it back to the People of Pakistan where it belongs

Deport Altaf
Deport Altaf Hussain from UK
Altaf Husain is a terrorist, Musharraf and Altaf both are fascist and responsible for May 12 massacre, continued violence, bhatta collection, target killings and terrorists activities on the streets of Karachi are designed to take control of the metropolitan and only port city of the country.
Altaf is directly and indirectly involved in loss of hundreds of innocent lives, responsible for dividing the nation on ethnic lines. Destruction and pain brought by his activities to the people of Pakistan are not forgiveable. Especially when he is in control of MQM and dictating his terms from London.

It is believed that demand from the British government to officially extradite him is genuine, this is the only possibility that he can be brought back home and tried for his crimes.
If British Government ignore sentiments of majority of Pakistani peoples, then we agree to take case to British courts. We support Imran Khan, Chairman of PTI in his efforts and will happily offer him assistance for the sake of peace and prosperity at Karachi. We believe that under the pressure of Musharraf, British Government will not act as desired by peoples of Pakistan, but still British courts have fame which could take any decision to lay down foundation, that is another possibility to bring him to justice for his terrorist activities, record of his terrorist activities such as phone calls, meetings with anti-Pakistan terrorists, his source of income and luxirious life style could only be checked by the orders of courts, if British Government refused to help.
If British Government did not take any sympathetic view, then there is no way left except to take case to the International Court of Justice.
Altaf Husain must not be allowed to continue his terrorist activities peacefully from his safe heaven at London, while Karachi may remains under the grip of terrorists and mafia of MQM.
Faiza rape case
Wolf in a sheep's skin
Altaf Husain which started to pose him as liberal and enlightened moderate since Musharraf came in to power; he issued many sycophantic statements in favor of crusaders and some statements for women protection to please western media. It was not surprise for us because a large number of liberals adopted same strategy for the sake of their bread and butter. Majority of them are wolf in sheep’s skin, we have sufficient record of their back ground and vulgar approach. But unnecessary interference in the personal matter of any one is not our policy, except if some body politically challenge then we reply in same fashion, how ever we strongly believe that personal life of politicians is public property.
Since May 12, 2007 massacre of Karachi, MQM failed to justify its terrorists role, to hide its weaknesses it started to blame others, every citizen condemned their activities. But statement of Imran Khan shook entire terrorist network, Don Altaf Husain had a notion that after receiving British passport he is safe to conduct terrorist activities from London. It was a great setback, so rascals of MQM, core commander Karachi, ISI, MI, Rangers, and Government of Sindh turned their guns against Imran Khan. Regular filthy statements on media, wall chalking, banners and public meetings against him were conducted and main point was to attack on personal character of Imran Khan. Question is where are those liberals who always have clauses of “Qazaf” in their pockets and preach laws of “Qazaf”? Kashmala Tariq, Women Protectors and enlightened moderates, who are standing out side courts to support same sex marriage, are tight lipped on MQM’s allegations. However all this shameful expedition is surely running under the patronage of President House and GHQ

Song & Dance Men
The paramount duty of a ruler is to guarantee the safety of the citizens. While people were being mowed down by terrorists, the head of country joined by the prime minister & the governor of Sindh watched the carnage as if it was a side show. The major event was "dance & song" show staged by a rent-a-crowd, enthusiastically applauded by the rulers and their cronies.A murder is a murder and it must be investigated.General-President is treating this tragedy as if it was a third rate petty crime. Those who attempted to assassinate the General were promptly caught, swiftly tried and hanged. But the blood ofcommon man is cheap therefore crime is excusable. The General in Islamabad, the Prime Minister without a true constituency
and Remote Control of MQM in London jointly bear the responsibility of this bloody crime.

It is wakeup time
I have been following the recent events in Karachi (from US) by reading newspapers, watching footage posted on YouTube by various folks, etc. Until about a week ago, I was a big supporter of Musharraf because I was under the impression that he was an open minded person who was out there to protect our country and its people. But the recent events have completely changed my thoughts. In fact, I admit that how could I have been so blind to not see what has been going on in the country for the last few years now. General Musharraf has shown that he is no different from the Generals from the past, whose only goal was to cling to the power as long as they could. He (regretfully) is doing the same thing.

What happened in Karachi on May 11 is totally unacceptable and the responsible parties need to be held accountable for the massacre of innocent civilians. All facts point to the present federal government, the MQM and the provincial Sindh government. But, the problem is that our justice system is biased and is and has always been under the government control. I am not sure whether the CJP misused his powers or not but the movement that his ouster has started needs to go on until the Judiciary frees up from the government control.

I stand by with Imran Khan and what he is trying to do. I completely agree with him that Altaf Hussain should not be allowed to manipulate MQM from London. MQM needs to free itself from Altaf Hussain if it wants to do real politics and not gun-point politics. MQM has now hired Sarfraz Nawaz, a low-charcter person, to defame Imran because Imran is planning to file a case against Altaf Hussain in London. What people like Altaf and Imran Farooq do not realize is that just like in Pakistan, Imran Khan is a house-hold name in UK and is very well respected. When he presents facts to the media, the house of lords and their MPs there, it will be taken seriously. And may be the MQM leadership does know and that is why they are the ones who are afraid of him because they have never face this type of situation before.

I agree with Khan that people in UK should be told that Tony Blair has granted citizenship to someone who is wanted in the killings of hundreds of people in Pakistan and has been orchestrating murder of innocent people from London. Imran belongs to a different league than any other politician that we have ever seen in Pakistan. He is a fighter and does not give up. I also agree with Imran that when 24 people were killed in the UK on 7/7, Mush went on to TV and started rounding up people just to please Tony Blair when there was no Pakistani involved in that event. Where as, he is refusing to start an inquiry into the killings of people in Karachi. This is a critical time in the history of our country and I pray that the CJP is reinstated and judiciary comes out from under the government control and if this happens then a new dawn will start for us and if it fails, I do not want to think any further...

Known terrorist
Can anyone answer a simple question - How did Altaf Hussain manage to get out of Pakistan about 10-12 years ago ? We all knew then, he was
behind all the blood letting in Karachi. Who were his protectors ? Why don't we have prize money for his capture? After all there is a
huge prize money for the capture of other terrorists.
Alamsher Wazir, United States of America

1) Was this a calculated conspiracy to resort to ethnic clashes in Karachi?
2) Where does MQM stand now? Was this all made to happen because a huge rally in favor of the chief justice would decide that Karachi is not a MQM’s city as it claims ?
3) Was MQM’s announcement of a counter rally on the same day in line with democratic norms?
4) Who should be really held responsible for May 12 massacre?

Just wants to answer to your "Q" here M.Q.M was the only one take the permision for the rally....

The fact is that Pakistan's troubles will never be over till we get rid of the unholy alliance of the military, the mullah and the businessmen.
How about starting to kill everyone in uniform, every man with a beard and burning all the factories ?
It might be painful in the begining but in the end the people would prevail.

MQM must be disarmed
MQM has set up a parallel government of fear and intimidation in Pakistan. The government must take steps to disarm their powerful militias, and restore the writ of Law.

The governor of Sind is the only political governor in the country - he is an indicted murderer and continued to ply his mafia characteristics on May 12.

Now MQM has taken to banning citizens from entering Karachi, as if it their fathers private property. Imran Khan has every right to come to Karachi as does every other citizen.

MQM's Victory
Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mr. Iftikhar Muhammad Chuodry was invited to address Sindh High Court Bar Association on May 12. MQM blocked his way to the court and did not allow him to address the Bar. More than 40 innocent people were killed in order to conquer Karachi. Those accompanying the CJP were asked to leave Karachi immediately. Majority of them were senior lawyers including Mr. Itizaz Hassan. CJP had to cancel his schedule and he returned back from Karachi from the airport and could not take a single step out from the passenger’s lounge. On the other hand, the MQM took a rally and was addressed by Mr. Iltaf Hussain on phone in the idle of the road. Nothing happened to the participants of the rally, though a large number of outsiders were killed elsewhere.
May 12 is definitely MQM’s day of conquering Karachi and the party will celebrate this day every year as” victory day of Karachi”.
Let us “congratulate” MQM and their sponsors Mr. Pervez Musharraf and Shaukat Aziz on their “victory.”

5/12 Massacre Posted by:kadar khan
Thanks for your post Br. Kadar Khan, I wish there are more Pakistanis who think alike and are elaborate too. Those who take a balanced look at all the events and episodes, that would make Pakistan a better place to dwell within.
Alas, this is Democracy Pakistan Style, where we toss ethnicity of others on the tips of our tongues and infuriate others by nick-naming their ethnicity in demeaning terms and while we consider ourselves muslims we go to the extent of discriminating each other on the basis of ethnicity.
It is rather shameful to have to experience such episodes over and again when matters are politicized by one side or the other and escalated beyond their reciprocity as in the matter of CJ who if he had slightest honor for the position he holds would have refrained from all this hoopla but it becomes more and more evident from the way this matter is being handled that the CJ and his cronies who now fill in as his lawyers were waiting for such an opportunity so they can topple the existing govt. while they are responsible for taking over the streets of Pakistan and creating a havoc around the country.
They have literally qualified themselves for the Pakistani Democracy as it prevailed before freedom of speech and media. If the CJ wanted to convey his message about the matters he wishes to discuss he could have addressed the entire nation without all this havoc by consulting with the mass media which I am sure would be very happy to relay the most controversial matters and this would have saved the CJ from shredding the honor of a Chief Justice into pieces while the people of the country would have continued to enjoy peace in the nation without disruption of the country's norms, but, the hidden agenda of the CJ and his cronies appears to be a lot more than visible to common eyes.

"Mattarwa Qaumi Movement by Usman , Pakistan"
"Mattarwa Qaumi Movement are definitly terrorists and should be flushed out of Pakistan. Go back to INDIA!!
Usman , Pakistan"
-----------------------------
How evident is the mentality of certain ethnics who consider themselves the owners of Pakistan.
As ignorant as above quoted comments by some Usman who wishes for people to go back to India.
Those who came from India are the real founders of the nation of Pakistan while those who were sitting in those lands that were demarcated as Pakistan prior to the founding of Pakistan did not lose any lives or property.
Hundreds of thousands of people took on foot and by all means of transport available to reach Pakistan in order to make it a success. When Pakistan was founded the state did not had any money to pay the employees of the state, the Muslim State of Hyderabad (now India) contributed the funds to accomodate distribution of wages. The Gold Bullion that was transfered from Hyderabad was used as the monetary backup based upon which the currency was printed.
All that the migrants were able to bring in with them became part of Pakistan in terms of wealth and property. What was your contribution Mr. Usman?
You seem to have chosen the alias of one of the most generous from Khulfa E Rashideen but you dont seem to know yet where to tie your pants, pajamas or may be shalwar for that matter.
If you think you are brave enough and have been fed by your mother then stand on a crossroad in Pakistan anywhere and say out loud what you have written here. Dont even dare to dream that you are sending anyone of us to India, because if that is the writt of your ethnicity you be prepared to lose Pakistan altogether by itself.
Put your money where your mouth is and weigh in before making such nonsensical statements because if your words create any abrasion among two citizen's of Pakistan you should remember that you will be held accountable in the courts of Allah SWT for creating unrest in the lands occupied by muslims.
Review what you have written and if you come from a sound background you should be able to withdraw your comments while I dont seek your apology for being ignorant.

Conflict resolution
We have to try our best to avoid resorting to revenge and counter revenge. The few found guilty must be punished.

In Canada, we have been doing social get togetherness involving Punjabis, Pathans,Sindhis, Urdu speaking, Kashmiris and others and getting along well.

In Pakistan as well trouble makers had no business going closer to the ones in procession of their own. The peace keeping authorities with resources and authority should have smelled it out ahead of time and should have done good job on mapping and timing co-ordination to avoid tragedy.

Each one of us Pakistani ethnicities have some qualities to fit into nation without having conflict.

Punjabis and Pashtuns may have more patriotism. But Urdu speaking Pakistanis are more honest in dealings. As a matter of fact these Bhias brothers and sisters can be trusted on money matters and dealings with better trust than even Hindus and Sikhs.

Let us unite all these qualities peacefully of all people in Pakistan and weed out all trouble makers, who want to spoil the national unity.

Pakistan has variegated ethnic mix as much as in Iraq or Afghanistan.

THERE HAS BEEN A WONDERFUL EQUILIBRIUM TO MAINTAIN PEACE AND HAPPINESS OF TOGETHERNESS IN PAKISTAN IN THE PAST.

IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PEOPLE WITH POWER AND RESOURCES OF PEACE KEEPING TO TRY THEIR PART AS WELL AND MAKE SURE THAT OUR ETHNIC DIVERSITY DOES NOT SLIP INTO CHAOS LIKE IN IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN.

WE, PUNJABIS, PATHANSM SINDHIS, BALUCHIS,PATHANS, URDU SPEAKING AND KASHMIRIS ARE FULLY CAPABLE OF LIVING TOGETHER PEACEFULLY.

PLEASE DO NOT POISON DAMAGE THE PEACE EQUILIBRIUM WITH POLITICAL ADVENTURES.

COFLICT RESOLUTION CAN WORK ONLY BY SEPARATING THE COLLISION IF IT IS SEEN DEVELOPING AT A TIME.

ROUTE, MAP, TIME AND DISTANCE THE CHANCE OF CONFLICT IF IT IS ANTICIPATED INTO DEVELOPING.
Anwar Mahmood, Canada

It could have been easily avoided
Like in civilized world, the available resources of law and order could have been used. The two important peace procedures of rallies can be stated so that even a child can understand and they are as such:

1. THE RALLY OF CJ SHOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN A SPECIFIC ROUTE FREE AND DEVOID OF ANY INTERFERENCE.THE MQM OR ANY RALLY OPPOSING CJ'S ONE SHOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN ITS OWN INDEPENDENT ROUTE AND MAPPING.

2. THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN OBSERVED APPROPRIATE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE TWO WITH NO RALLY ROUTE COMING WITHIN TROUBLING DISTANCE OF THE OTHER.

IT APPEARS THAT THERE WAS LACK OF SINCERITY OR SERIOUS NEGLIGEANCE ON THE PART OF THOSE WHO HAD PEACE KEEPING RESOURCES AND THE CONTROL ON MAPPING OF RALLIES ROUTES FOR SAFETY REASONS.

Altaf Hussein, the ‘King Khatmal’ is a hard core & sadistic terrorist; he is responsible for the poor Pakistanis massacre in Karachi. The British Government must extradite him if the UK believes in War against Terror for real!!!
Mr. Blair must be fair at least in this case!!! MQM also uses to employ and deploy a sizeable contingent of hired assassins as well as POs (viz proclaimed offenders) on tactical levels and let them loose whenever required according to them for the onslaught. I have therefore been sending my proposal repeatedly to the high-up that all the DPOs as well as SHOs of Police be made time-bound and be given specific targets of POs arrests, for such roaming POs are the extremely horrible & fitting for such lucrative jobs by default - like the stray and rabid dogs have been!!!

Sad day but whom to Blame?
I have noticed the comments, mostly blaming each other. I think, after this event, entire nation has come to one conclusion, poor show from political personalities and as well as Government. What can we do as a nation and as an individual to fix this? Is there is a way? More than half of Pakistan doesn’t believe in giving Votes and most of their votes are being stolen. In this case we have seen in the past, parties who uses their influence to get elected, whose fault is that. Why Pakistan always progress when some General take over the Government. “By the way Musharaf is doing good job for Pakistan” Is our whole structure is corrupted? Are we failed nation? Or we are failed as an individual. Being a nuclear power (as a failed nation) what are our responsibilities. Should we now attack India to get Kashmir? Absolutely not! Let me say this now to our nation that Kashmiris are not interested to be the part of Pakistan they want a country of their own so please keep the idea to yourselves now and we lost East Pakistan in this process. This does not mean that we don’t want to help Kashmiris. We have let Marshal Law prevailed in this country several times because we have not worked on the individuality basis. Every person in Pakistan can make the difference and it is time that we go back in history to find out our mistakes and if we keep making mistakes again and again, we will loose our identity as a nation and there will no Pakistan but Sind, Boluchistan, Punjab and Frontier. Let make a list of our weaknesses. I think we can start to work together, especially all political parties and CJ situation, do not let it go beyond its boundaries. If you are in a big group you must ask question on the basis of integrity, basis of believing in yourself. Media must get involved to help people of Pakistan, understand the value of giving votes. Do not let others steal your votes. We must stop this Corruption. We must choose that person who we think is right for the nation and if we made a mistake about him lets get involved and get him out of there.

MQM THE BIGGEST TERRORIST
No need to say much more on MQM GREAT TERROR RECORD in Pakistan, but this it was unique as MQM was given full rights to kill by the army chief.Police men were seeing laying in cool shadows listening music and MQM ghundas were placed on bridges of main airport highway to fir eand kill as many as possible. Its a terror situation from which acity has to get out,so far i dont know how,one more asif nawaz or general babar required i guess.

Where are you taking my country Mr President? You came with a 6 or 7 point agenda but you collected the most corrupt persons around you. This is what you have sown for us. Probably worst has still to come

MQM's Leadership Reflects
We have seen people being slaughtered on 12th of May in Karachi. Infact, all the responsibility lies with the fanatical leadership of MQM which has often been accused of intolerance towards people belonging to other political opinions.

It is the time that nation must start distinguishing between foes and friends.
Masood Balouch, Pakistan

Peace within Pakistan
Karachi used to be peaceful paradise to visit. The city has beautiful climate year round and has many fascinating beaches like Clifton, Kimari, Minora, Hawks Bay, Paradise Point, Sands Spit and more. Can we rhink of the wonders of Karachi rather than mixing up politics with the people's priorities that can be other than politics.

I have visited Karachi several times and have found it a wonderful city. The British governor Napier had said as such:

"Karachi, you will rule the east one day."

My first visit and detailed one was when I went there with my Chemistry Honours class of Government college, Lahore in 1964.We went streaming and stopping at every major city and finally spent good one week in Karachi.

We even broke away from our class mates and roamed the streets of Karachi past midnight each day. We watched films, we visited beaches. Our department head Dr M.A.Azim, who became principal of G.C later, accompanied girls, and Professor Mahboob Shah Hashmi accompanied us boys. We were roaming all over Karachi without any fear. Now, you visit Karachi with all types of scares even about your life.

I think politics spoiled it all. It started with Gauhar Ayub's roughening of Muhajirs, then it was Zia,then Babar for BB and all along the way MQM started arming itself and also readying with show of brutalities.

May be they should de-escalate politics to revert Karachi back to peace.

It was awefully sad to see those 50 died.MQM raided the procession from motor bikes.Musharraf and Co were doing their own celebrations. The Cj was bent upon doing his political show while he was dressed up in colourful glasses and a show boy fancy dress suit as the most dressed up among masses. The political parties wanted their own piece of showmanship and the common man enjoined as a partisan and non partisan spectator.

Those who fired the first shot need be punished and the police, that stood there idle to watch, must be fired for not protecting the civilians lives.

Revenge and counter revenge will not take us any where. The world press is making joke of us already.

May be they should de-politicize Karachi and declare it only having a special commercial status.

Karachi is the commercial heart beat of Pakistan.

I THINK THAT PAKISTAN SHOULD DE-POLITICIZE KARACHI.KARACHITES SHOULD HAVE A VERY SPECIAL STATUS OF COMMERCIAL MODEL AND SHOULD BE DEVOID OF ANY POLITICAL AFFILIATION.PAKISTAN SHOULD SERIOUSLY THINK OF GIVING KARACHI A PEACE HEAVEN STATUS THAT HAS NO OR VERY LITTLE POLITICAL BINDINGS LIKE VATICAN CITY.

THERE ARE TOO MANY ETHNICITIES JUMBLED UP IN THAT ONE GREAT CITY.SINDHIS, PASHTOONS, MUHAJIRS, PUNJABIS, BALUCHIS AND ALL OTHERS ARE SO LUMPED TOGETHER IN ONE CITY THAT HAS COMMERCE AS ITS HEART BEAT.

CAN WE EXPECT THAT EVERY KARACHITE THINKS ABOUT HIM AS MAN OF COMMERCE AND PEACE.THE CITY IS GRAND COMMERCE WISE AND LET DIRTY POLITICS NOT POLLUTE IT.

CAN WE REQUEST THE SINDHIS, MUHAJIRS, PATHANS AND ALL OTHERS THERE TO KINDLY START LIKING AND LOVING EACH OTHER AS THEY USED TO DO LONG TIME AGO.

WITH NOTHING AGAINST ANY ETHNIC GROUP OF KARACHI, CAN WE REQUEST THE KARACHITES OF ALL ETHNICITIES TO START PUTTING LOVE IN THEIR HEARTS FOR FELLOW KARACHITES.

I BELIEVE THAT LOVE FOR PEACE FOR FELLOW KARACHITES AND YEARNING FOR COMMERCE AND LITTLE POLITICS WILL BRING ETERNAL PEACE TO KARACHI.

Shame on MQM
What happened in Karachi shows the real face of MQM. It claims to be the representative of oppressed but practically it is gang of criminals who plays GHQ game. Musharaf is right on his war on terror but he has done little to tackle the monster of Fundamentalizm. He wants to become an absolute ruler with American backing but history tells us that it will be bad for the country in the long run. MQM is being used to intimidate opposition.

5/12 Massacre

Time to pause and really see what is happening! Pakistan is under pressure for sometime from various external directions. Terrorist acts in NWFP with increasing frequency and dimension is a source of concern though phenomenon is getting internalized yet contained!

Even as tension in NWFP growing the disturbance in Balochistan by Bugti and few other outfits came on horizon with the force challenging government by blowing up gas lines and government installations on regular basis.

To compound situation further Lal Masjid mullahs in Islamabad challenged government writ by threatening to establish own manifesto! While the tension with mullahs of Lal Masjid is on going yet another issue of Chief Justice came to live!

In a very short time, Chief Justice gained momentum almost if it was planed! He started running the show by coordinating bar association meetings all over the country. He came out on streets with opposition support! Media reports indicated that Chief Justice was involved and had meeting with political parties in Dubai prior to the reference against him.

Experts and analysts have been emphasizing that Pakistan is vulnerable to internal threats! Internal vulnerabilities if enhanced could tip over the balance towards disorder! Markers are visible for susceptibilities. Two of the volatile triggers are ethnicities and religion! Once those primers are ignited entropy will set in! Newly attained dynamics will thrived by the energy of internal decline or downward spiral! Once initial set up is achieved that will provide the impetus to hate and blame each other for ever!

MQM seems to have huge constituency in Karachi! With stronger base they may continue the firm standing! Question raised is interesting! Possibly, MQM perceived that bigger rally in favor of chief justice, as a threat to their vote bank! More then that perhaps MQM took it as a designed attempt by other parties to liquidate Vote bank! MQM spoke person prior to 5/12 stated that speaking of Chief Justice to bar association is acceptable and will be supported if not backed by the political parties!

MQM or any other party’s announcement of a counter rally on the same day is in line with democratic norms! Democratic norms, is essentially the platform which provides access to all parties at the same time. There are examples, where two opposing groups hold rallies at the same time in the other countries!

All political parties including chief justice is responsible for the massacre in Karachi. Chief Justice should have had understanding that he is being used by the political parties! If necessary, he could have brought his case to public without providing a pulpit to the political parties! Being a chief justice of the country one would expect the higher awareness from him! Knowing all possibilities, he should have postponed his visit to Karachi bar association!

Opposition parties knew exactly what was going to happen on 5/12 in Karachi! If they really care about people of Pakistan it would not have had happened! It is obvious, chances for authenticating their need while country is unmanageable is higher then peace time. Even better, if emergency is implemented!

Since, MQM is in coalition with the government they have a bigger responsibility in maintaining law and order in karachi! They should have taken all measures to ensure safety of the people and property! Moreover, when MQM had realized the Chief Justice is pumped by the opposition parties and unwilling to change his plan then they should have cancelled their rally for the sake of peace!

Seemingly unrelated events discern a pattern prompting a question if this is by design? Massacre in Karachi demonstrates embolden individual and party interest! Rest of the job will be done! Now, we have a choice to blame each other and use this energy to lose what we have or figure out what have just hit us!

Open terrorism
The MQM and Musharraf were responsible for this, no doubt. In Islamabad, people were playing music, dancing, and "supporting Musharraf", whereas in Karachi, open terrorism was taking place and Pakistani blood was being shed. Isn't the government's job to protect it's citizens? Apparently not. Altaf Hussain is a terrorist and so is his party and isn't Musharraf supposed to be fighting a war AGAINST terror, and not with it, unless ofcourse thats only to impress the United States.

Musharraf & MQM are responsibile for the Karachi incident
Since the current situation began regarding the CJ suspension the hon. CJ has made many visit's to different towns & cities of pakistan, notabley the visit to Lahore and all of these happend without any incident but when the CJ was to visit Karachi than Musharraf and his party decide to hold a rally in Islamabad and the pro-dictator party MQM decides to stage one in Karachi on the same day hence causing the fatal incident that occured.

Why did man who says he has the support of the masses in the country need to show off his support, is it because he sees now clearly that he is but a dictator in power with the backing of the top military brass and not the people for they have been comming out in thier thousands to support the CJ which shows that the final nail in the coffin of this dictator has been nailed and now he is trying to save his own skin in manner which is illeagal & unconstitunal because a President and COAS are not allowed to take part in politics.

Pakistan's monarch political parties
I think Benazir and N.Sharif are to be blamed for these killings. First they politicised a legal issue and than started violent protests all over the country, disrupting normal life and damaging private and public property.
Certainly, majority of Pakistanis suffered from this kiosk and never supported it.
In smaller cities mob manage to over come the hijacking the populace but in city like Karachi, this was destined to happen.
Aitizaz (lawyer of CJ) is in full charge of the events and is only buying time for Benazir to negotiate her return to power. While Nawaz in his ignorance is being used as tool.
Pakistan's politcal parties are can be termed any thing but democratic. They resemble more to feudal and moarch system.
They left Pakistan when they saw it sinking and now the shining economy and foreign exchange reserves are tempting them to come back and take away there share.

hoping for the best
It is not more shameful for somebody to claim something and doing otherwise.

Today,Musharraf is supporting the war against terror", showing the whole world that he is on the side of the democratic forces.

A responsibility of protecting people from any act of terrorism done by anyone living in his country,.

Yet,on the hand he is giving complete freedom to those who are on his side to get away with killing innocent people.

It makes the "war on terrorism look so fake and artificial.A group of exploiters are on the verge of destroying all the peace on the planet.

when you teach others the western values of democracy, you have to understand it as well.

Democracy has four pillars. The Reign of the Constitution and the Rule of Law,strong parliament, independent judiciary, independent media.Nothing is left safe in pakistan. It is not surprising that people are calling it a failed state.

A year ago the punjab cheif minister pervez elahi said the crimes happening in Lahore are no surprise to me because i know MQM has opened their offices here in lahore.

Army makes these militant groups to terrify people and then it goes out of their own control.

Shame for us all
I COMMISERATE WITH THE RELATIVES OF THOSE INNOCENTS WHO GOT KILLED.IT IS SHAME FOR THE WHOLE NATION AT THE TIME WHEN WE NEED PEACE AND HARMONY WITHIN THE NATION AND AT BORDERS.

POLITICAL LEADERS MAY BE LABELLED WITH SOME BLAME. BUT, MORE BLAME GOES ON THE GOVERNMENT AS THEY HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF KEEPING LAW AND ORDER IN THE COUNTRY AND THEY HAVE THE RESOURCES AVAILABLE AT THEIR DISPOSAL.

ALLAH SAVE PAKISTAN.SOME BODY IS GOING TO MAKE HERO OUT OF ALTAF HUSSAIN,WHO HAS ATTENDED HIGH LEVEL SEMINARS WITH INDIAN GOVERNMENT AND TALKED THERE AGAINST EVEN CREATION OF PAKISTAN.HERE IN PAKISTAN, HE NEVER EVEN SHOWS UP.

THIS MAN WAS PRAISING NATWAR SINGH AS "NOT WAR SINGH", AS HE TALKED IN INDIA SPONSORED SEMINARS AND TALKED IN INDIA AGAINST THE VERY CREATION OF PAKISTAN.

MANY IF NOT MOST MQM PEOPLE IN CANADA THINK THEMSELVES INDIANS RATHER THAN PAKISTANIS.

IT IS AWEFULLY SAD ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED IN KARACHI.AND IT IS SHAME TO READ IN THE PRESS ABOUT THE RULING PARTY CELEBRATING AND DANCING WHEN THE COMMERCIAL HEART OF PAKISTAN BURNED.

THIS WAS LIKE NERO PLAYING FLUTE WHEN ROME BURNED.

THERE IS NO ROOM FOR REVENGE AS IT WILL HURT THE NATION MORE. IT IS TIME TO TO FEEL REMORSE AND MAKE AMENDS AS WE ARE ALL SAME PEOPLE. WE MUST LIVE TO LISTEN AND HELP OTHERS FELLOW COUNTRYMEN RATHER THAN KILLING THEM.

IT IS A LESSON FOR ALL POLITICAL PARTIES THAT THEY SHOULD BE PREPARED TO CHANGE, REARRANGE AND ALTER THE TIMING OF THEIR DEMOCRATIC EXPRESSIONS AS MUSHARRAF HAD CLEARLY WARNED OF CRUSHING ANY THING GOING NOT HIS WAYS.

PAKISTAN HAS JOINED A SELECT CLUB OF TWO OR THREE COUNTRIES OF ABSOLUTE POWER NATIONS, WHERE MILITARY WAYS ARE FREELY ADMIXING THE CIVILIAN WAYS. AND THE NATION'S PEOPLE AS A WHOLE IS CORRUPT AND CROOK AS WELL.BUT THAT DOES'NT MEAN THAT THEY HAVE TO DIE.

THE COUNTRY AND ITS PEOPLE ARE EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL AND THEY ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND DELIGHTFULLY LIVABLE.

PAKISTAN STILL IS A GREAT STRESS RELIEF TO VISIT AND LIVE THERE RELAXED FROM THE OTHER MORE SERIOUS STRESSES OF THE WEST.GOING FROM WEST, IT IS VERY CHEAP WHEN YOU SPEND DOLLARS THERE.

THE COMMON MAN OF PAKISTAN IS WONDERFULLY SWEET.

WE REQUEST THAT THE PEOPLE WITH RESPONSIBILITY OF GOVERNING AND WITH RESOURCES OF PEACE KEEPING AVAILABLE TO THEM CAN PLEASE USE THOSE RESOURCES FOR THE SAFETY OF PEOPLE.

I WOULD REQUEST ALTAF HUSSAIN OF MQM THAT HE KINDLY TALK GOOD ABOUT PAKISTAN WHEN HE GOES TO INDIA. THE POLITICAL LEADERS ARE REQUESTED THAT THEY PLEASE LEARN TO GIVE IN THE MOST AS MILITARY RIGOURS AND DISCIPLINES CAN BE VERY BRUTAL AND MURDEROUS AND LETHAL AS THEY ARE DRILLED TO WAR LIKE MODES AS DAILY ROUTINES AND THINKING IN BARRACKS.

AS BARRACKS CONTROL THE WAY OF LIFE IN PAKISTAN NOW, THE CIVILIAN POLITICIANS WILL HAVE TO SHOW BETTER WISDOM, RESILIENCE AND PROPENSITY TO AVOID SITUATIONS WHERE THERE CAN BE LOSS OF INNOCENT LIVES.

LOSS OF ANY LIFE IN PAKISTAN IS THE LOSS OF PEOPLE OF THE SAME NATION.WE COMMISERATE WITH ALL WHO GOT KILLED AND MORE SO WITH BENAZIR BHUTTO AND HER PARTY WHO LOST MOST BESIDES THE INNOCENT BY STANDERS.

I THINK THE SITUATION OF MILITARY CIVILIAN ADMIX IN PAKISTAN IS GOING TO CHANGE SOMEWHAT AFTER 18 MONTHS WHEN BUSH LEAVES OFFICE.THOSE FEELING AND BRAGGING ABOUT ABSOLUTE POWER WILL HAVE MUCH OF THEIR FEATHERS CLIPPED.

BUT, THEN THERE CAN BE LOTS OF BALANCING ACTS THROUGH POLITICAL HORSE TRADING.

THEY CAN DO AND FEEL WHATEVER THEY LIKE. BUT, PLEASE DO NOT FORGET THAT THE CIVILIZED WORLD EXPECTS THE USE AND UTILIZATION OF NATION'S PEACE KEEPING RESOURCES IN TIMES OF DIRE NEEDS.

AND EVERY BODY RELATED TO POLITICAL ASPIRATIONS WILL HAVE TO LEARN TO GIVE IN MORE OR MOST FOR THE SAKE OF INTERNAL PEACE AND SAFEGUARDS OF INNOCENT CIVILIANS.

WHEN YOU ARE SURE THAT IT IS BECOMING LAW OF THE JUNGLE, THE WEAKER WISE BETTER HIDE TO PROTECT THE INNOCENT LIVES.

AND THE INNOCENTS ONES BETTER LEARN TO STAY AT HOME AS THE ROBBERS ARE THE ONLY ONE TO GET YOU.

AND THERE ARE PLENTY OF ROBBERS THERE AS WELL WHO ARE DOING THEIR JOB AND INTRUSIONS AT WILL AND WISH AS WELL AS NO BODY BOTHERS TO USE THE RELATED AVAILABLE RESOURCES AS WELL TO MITIGATE THEM.

Extradite Altaf Hussain
There's no doubt that MQM was responsible for the terrorist activities on that day in Karachi. With that the MQM party should be banned and its members who have a history of committing crime should be arrested and brought to justice. As for Altaf Hussain he should be extradited to Pakistan and face charges of murder and treason for the crimes he has been committing against the state of Pakistan. My question is why our country and the constitution are allowing these people to run politics from foreign soil? Can you name me one civilized nation where their party leaders are in self exile and are running the affairs of the country from abroad? This also goes for BB and Nawaz they should not be allowed to have any political affiliations with their party or the government if they decide to leave their home country for any reason beyond 3 months. Our country is in turmoil because the constitution is written in such a way that it only benefits selected individuals. There is no oversight and its laws are rarely followed. I’ll be honest I have never read the 1973 constitution in full details nor the 2002 constitution, however, it would be safe to assume that neither of the constitutions are effective and or offer complete and transparent oversight, because looking back at the history of Pakistan it is clear that there are a lot of loopholes that needs to be looked at. The entire opposition is claiming on restoring the 1973 constitution when they know that it has just as many flaws as the 2002 version. I am a firm believer that if the ordinary citizen were to come out on the streets of Pakistan without any political party affiliation and they just fight for their basic rights and for the elimination of corruption without regards to ethnic backgrounds but only as a common citizen and a Pakistani; then all these leaders and politicians will either fold, be eliminated, or disappear from Pakistan forever. However, it’s wishful thinking because the people are so divided among party flags that they would rather die with false ideas for their party leader who are using them to fulfill their agendas rather than eliminate these.

Best regards,
Aftab

"Lucifer the great" of Karachi
Katmal Altaf is a hard cove terrorist, he is responsible for the poor Pakistanis massacre. The British Government must extradite him if the UK believe in War against Terror for real!!!

Violence in Karachi
First of all my heart goes to the families of the people killed. May God bless the souls of the dead and give power to the families to bear the loss. No one is responsible for this carnige than Musharaf him self and his MQM people. Hoe can a President try to stop a chief justice to talk just because he is afraid chief justice might have some thing against musharaf govt. Its really a shame when a country like Pakistan is moving back ward in the hands of Goons. If Mr. Musharf had any heart he will resign and let the Supreme court do a faie inquiry into the matter.
MQM should be banned by the public by voting against them. There is no power greater than voting. Public needs to show the government and MQM who is incharge. All pakistani who are elidgble to vote need to register and vote for the sake of their future and there kids and grand kids sake. Violence is not going to solve the problem but voting will. There is no bigger power than all citizens of Pakistan to show these unrully people the power of Public. There is a certain trust in the government by the people if that trust is lost government needs to fold and move on to next government which is chosen by the citizens of Pakistan.
Vinod, United States of America

Very Sad
It was very unfortunate with us that whenever political situation arise in our country the ruling party and opposition always try to show their power on the roads and there is no law and order situation on the country due dishonesty and bribes in police and other government departments.
Sind Government is responsible for this killing in the sense why they allow MQM to hold rallies and why they allow chief Justice Choudhary Sahib to come to Karachi and attend the Bar Council meeting. All opposition parties are presently busy to create problems for government and public as well.
I suggest not to allow any rallies and impose strict section 144 immediately throuhgout Pakistan to save the country from internal ethnic problem and international problems as well. If we fight ourself how we are going to save our country to face the challgenes we forsee a head as Muslim Estate.

Biggest political party(Pakistan army).
Biggest political party of Pakistan i.e.Pakistan army is responsible for this massacre of its citizens, which is not surprising seeing their history ,which province is safe from their adventurism,be it E.Pakistan,NWFP,SIndh,or Baluchistan.Unfortuantely this may not stop until the party's candidate wins.
