GAZA – The Health Ministry in the besieged Gaza Strip has reported that two more Palestinians, including children, have died due to famine and malnutrition within the past 24 hours, bringing the total starvation-related death toll in the territory to 113.
The Ministry’s statement, released on Telegram, highlights the deepening humanitarian catastrophe unfolding under Israel’s ongoing blockade and military operations. Medical officials warn that Gaza’s hospitals are overwhelmed and ill-equipped to treat patients suffering from severe hunger and related complications.
International aid agencies have repeatedly sounded the alarm about the collapse of food systems in Gaza, with limited humanitarian aid reaching only small pockets of the population. The World Food Programme and other UN bodies have urged for an immediate and sustained ceasefire to enable the safe delivery of food, medicine, and water.
The health crisis has disproportionately affected children, the elderly, and those with chronic illnesses. Health workers on the ground describe the situation as “beyond critical,” with famine now widespread and worsening each day.
As the war enters its tenth month, pressure continues to mount on global powers to intervene and prevent further loss of civilian life through starvation and preventable diseases.
