Chinese Defense Minister meets Army Chief, signs MoU to enhance defense cooperation

RAWALPINDI: Chinese Defense Minister General Wei Fenghe called on Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ and signed an MoU to enhance defense cooperation between the two countries' forces.

According to ISPR, issues of mutual interest, regional security and enhancement of bilateral defense cooperation were discussed during the meeting.

The distinguished guest acknowledged and appreciated the sincere efforts of the Pakistan Army to provide a safe environment for regional peace and CPEC projects. The Chief of Army Staff thanked the distinguished guest for China's unwavering support to Pakistan in regional and international forums on all important issues and said that the Pakistan Army appreciates the friendly relations with China that have stood the test of time.
