Conavirus, climate change, SDGs main challenges for UN ECOSOC: Munir Akram

NEW YORK: Pakistan's permanent representative to the United Nations Munir Akram has said coronavirus, climate change and implementation of Sustainable Development Goals are the main challenges for Economic and Social Council of the world body.

He was talking to President of the General Assembly Tijjani Muhammad-Bande during a virtual meeting in New York.

Munir Akram, who is also the President of Economic and Social Council said over hundred million people have been impoverished due to Covid-19 pandemic across the world.
