Construction of Diamer Bhasha Dam begins , more than 16,000 jobs will be created : Asim Bajwa

ISLAMABAD: Asim Bajwa has said that the commencement of construction work on Diamer Bhasha Dam is a historic step. The Prime Minister will inaugurate the construction work today. The project will create 16,000 jobs.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Asim Saleem Bajwa tweeted on social networking site that the project will boost steel, cement, construction sectors and  will create 16,000 jobs, 6.4 million acre feet of water storage and 1.2 million acres of agricultural land will be irrigated.

Asim Saleem Bajwa further said that the project would generate 4500 MW of cheap, environment friendly electricity
