Govt has taken initiative to unify syllabus for all students: Shafqat

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood says that incumbent government has taken the initiative to unify the syllabus for all students everywhere in Pakistan.

Talking to Radio Pakistan's News and Current Affairs Channel on Thursday, he said that unfortunately, we have an education system in our country, which is discriminatory against most of the citizens.

He said one of the reasons is because there is a complete separation of curriculum in all these systems.

The Minister termed different education systems as class base divisions.

He said we are already doing Tele schooling so that a large number of people can have access to education.

Taking part in the program Minister of State for Climate Change Zartaj Gul said that effective reach of Radio Pakistan can be utilized to impart education to masses. 

She said a comprehensive strategy can reduce the disparity. She stressed that all children in Pakistan must have an equal level of education.

The Minister of State said unified education policy will guarantee equal opportunities for students all over Pakistan.

He said Radio Pakistan has always played a significant role in every crisis and it will be used for E-learning purpose.
