ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Health has taken serious notice of shortage of the medicine "Dexamethasone" and directed all pharmacies to ensure uninterrupted supplies and availability of the said drug at the price fixed by the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan.
Banning un-prescribed sale of aforesaid drug, the Ministry also directed that the medicine should be sold out only to the customers with the valid prescription of registered medical practitioner.
It also asked the pharmacies and distributors to maintain the sale or purchase record of the drug and submit the record to the ministry fortnightly. It warned that strict action will be taken in case of any delinquency or violation.
