ISLAMABAD: The 969-megawatt Neelum-Jhelum hydropower project, completed at
Prime Minister Imran Khan has called for a comprehensive awareness campaign about tree plantation, specially through media.
Planting a sapling under the monsoon tree plantation campaign in Peshawar today (Friday), he stressed the need to create awareness about tree plantation through websites, especially social media.
The Prime Minister said people get motivation and encouragement when they see barren lands being changed into green spots.
On the occasion, Special Assistant on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam briefed the Prime Minister about the tree plantation campaign.
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman and Chief Minister Mahmood Khan were also present on the occasion.
Earlier, the Prime Minister paid a visit to Shaukat Khanum Cancer Memorial Hospital, Peshawar and inaugurated operation theaters and completion of phase three at the facility.
