IT ministry, ISPR agree to promote animation industry

ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Information Technology and Inter Services Public Relations have agreed to collaborate for development and promotion of Animation Industry in the country.

The understanding to this effect reached at a meeting between Minister for IT and Telecom, Syed Amin Ul Haque, and DG ISPR, Major General Babar Iftikhar in Rawalpindi.

Secretary IT and Telecom, Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui was also present on the occasion.

It was noted, that global market size of animation industry is around 270 billion dollars and expected to grow to 415 billion dollars by 2025. Pakistan has a huge potential to become a part of this growing industry.

Currently, Pakistani animators have limited access to required infrastructure and professional training or courses.

Animation industry can contribute significantly to the economy of Pakistan, by generating job opportunities and bringing foreign investment.
