ISLAMABAD: National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage has planned to hold Annual Folk Festival “Lok Mela” in Islamabad from 6th of next month.
Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood will the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony.
Main features of the 10 day event include provincial cultural pavilions from all provinces, Gilgit Baltistan, Azad Kashmir as well as an international pavilion. Artisans at work, folk songs and dance performances, exotic craft bazaar, cultural nights, folkloric performances, food courts, and many other activities will be part of the Lok Mela.
