According to THE LEGATUM PROSPERITY INDEX™ 2019, Pakistan is 140th in the overall Prosperity Index rankings . Since 2009, Pakistan has moved up the rankings table by 6 places. The annual Legatum Prosperity Index ranks countries on nine pillars of prosperity, measuring each country’s economic quality and business environment, as well as the mode of governance, social capital, security, education and natural environment.
Pakistan performs most strongly in Social Capital and Investment Environment but is weakest in Natural Environment. The biggest improvement compared to a decade ago came in Social Capital.
Bangladesh stands 127th , India 101st and Vietnam 87th out of 167 countries as per Index of Legatum Intitute Foundation, London, UK
