President urges athletes to work hard in promoting sports in Pakistan

RAWALPINDI: President Dr Arif Alvi has urged athletes to work hard in promoting sports culture in Pakistan.

He was addressing the prize distribution ceremony of 47th Pakistan Open Golf Championship in Rawalpindi this afternoon.

The President said caddies should be encouraged and allowed to use club house facilities to become world class golfers. He said Pakistan has produced brilliant sports persons in various games, including hockey, golf, cricket, and squash.

Dr Arif Alvi also congratulated the winners and distributed awards and trophies among them.
