Punjab CM vows to launch campaign against adulteration mafia

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has unveiled various initiatives regarding provision of quality food across the province.

Addressing the ceremony in Lahore, the Chief Minister said modern lacto scanning machines have been provided in 36 districts.

He said that purpose of this initiative is to check the quality of milk while the latest surveillance system has also been provided to food authority to monitor teams working in the fields.

Usman Buzdar further said free milk testing laboratories have started working to provide hygienic food across the province.

He said food points set up in narrow bazaars will be checked with the help of Food Authority’s Bike Squad.

Punjab Chief Minister said that for the first time, a motorway squad has also been created to check food points on Lahore-Islamabad Motorway’s rest areas.

He vowed that a campaign against adulteration mafia and sellers of substandard goods would continue without any discrimination and not allow the mafia to play with human health.
