Saeed Ghani family tested negative for coronavirus

KARACHI: All family members of Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani have tested negative for novel coronavirus. The minister’s family members had to test for COVID-19 after he tested positive for the viral disease a few days ago.

Saeen Ghani, who has confined himself at his home, said he thanked God and was happy that none of his family member had contracted the disease from him. He appealed to the people to stay at home and do not go out unnecessarily.

When asked to comment on people offering Juma prayers in large numbers at some places in violation of the Sindh government’s direction, Ghani said people should realise that the government had taken the decision of restricting the number or people at congregational prayers out of necessity. He said it was a matter of religion due to which the government did not want to strictly enforce its order.
