KARACHI: Three people were killed and fifteen others injured in a blast in four storey building near Maskan Chowrangi at Gulshan-e-Iqbal area in Karachi on Wednesday.
Rescue operation is underway to search people stranded under debris.
Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has taken notice of blast and sought detailed report from Commissioner Karachi.
Karachi Administrator Iftikhar Shallwani while speaking to the media reiterated that the nature of the blast could only be determined after an inquiry. He stated that officials from the Sindh Building Control Authority were present at the scene.
"As you can see the building is damaged, it will have to be demolished," he said.
