WHO calls on manufacturers of Covid-19 vaccines to provide more access to developing countries


GENEVA: The World Health Organization has called on manufacturers of Covid-19 vaccines to provide more help and access to developing countries.

Talking to reporters in Geneva, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said steps should be taken to increase production of vaccines to increase its coverage.

Earlier, UN Security Council unanimously approved a resolution calling for improved access to COVID-19 vaccines in conflict-hit or impoverished regions.
