KALAT – Pakistan – Security forces carried out a precision intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Kalat district, resulting in the deaths of four militants linked to Indian-sponsored groups, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The operation, conducted on the night of November 1, targeted militants reportedly associated with the Fitna al-Hindustan network, which Pakistan has designated to highlight foreign involvement in terrorism and destabilisation efforts within the country. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the deceased militants, who were believed to have been actively involved in multiple terrorist activities.
The ISPR confirmed that sanitisation measures are ongoing to neutralise any remaining threats in the area. The military emphasised that security forces and law enforcement agencies remain committed to eradicating terrorism backed by external actors from across Pakistan.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif both commended the security forces for their efforts, reaffirming the nation’s support for ongoing counterterrorism measures under Operation Azm-i-Istehkam. The government reiterated its commitment to continuing the fight against terrorism until it is completely eliminated from the country.
