GILGIT: The 73rd Independence Day of Gilgit Baltistan will be celebrated with traditional zeal and fervor tomorrow.
On 1st November 1947 people of Gilgit Baltistan led by Gilgit Scouts revolted against Dogra Governor Brigadier Ghansara Singh arrested him and got liberated the Gilgit-Baltistan from Dogra rule and hoisted national flag of Pakistan.
The main function of of Jashne Azadi will be held in Helipad Ground in Gilgit.
It is expected that Prime Minister Imran Khan is expected to visit Gilgit Baltistan on the occasion.
Radio Pakistan Gilgit and Skardu through special Azadi programs will highlight significance of Independence Day of Gilgit Baltistan.
