RAWALPINDI: Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that any attempt to destabilise the country will be responded firmly.

Presiding over the 236th Corps Commanders’ Conference at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Tuesday, the Army Chief said that we have paid a heavy price to achieve peace and stability in the country.

According to the Director General Inter Services Public Relations, Major General Babar Iftikhar, geo strategic, regional and national security environment discussed in the meeting.

Forum undertook comprehensive review of recent surge in terrorist incidents in the country particularly in the tribal districts and Balochistan.

Paying glowing tribute to all civil and military Shuhada for their ultimate sacrifice, forum concluded that geographical and ideological frontiers of the country will be defended at all costs.
