LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Energy Dr. Akhtar Malik has said that the government is paying all its attention towards generation of low cost electricity from renewable energy sources.
In a statement issued from Lahore today, he said that his department has set a target to reduce Punjab government's annual electricity bill from 37 billion rupees to zero.
He said that government schools, universities, jails, hospitals, and basic health centers are being shifted to solar energy across the Punjab.
