COAS lauds high morale, operational readiness of officers & Jawans of Pak Army

SKARDU: Chief of Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa has appreciated the high morale and operational readiness of the officers and Jawans of Pakistan Army under challenging environment and harsh weather conditions.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, the Army Chief was interacting with officers and Jawans of Pakistan Army during his visit to Skardu.

During the visit, the Army Chief was briefed on the latest situation and operational preparedness of FC Northern Areas troops deployed along the Line of Control.

He emphasized to ensure highest levels of readiness for effectively responding to emerging threats.

Later, General Bajwa visited Gilgit where he inaugurated state-of-the-art Software Technology Park.

The Park is an initiative of Special Communication Organization which would help promote research and innovation in the field of Information Technology and defence communication.

Acknowledging efforts of Special Communication Organization, the COAS said that establishment of IT clusters in remote areas would have a great effect by encouraging innovation and digitization.

Earlier, on arrival at Skardu, the Army Chief was received by Commander Rawalpindi Corps, Lieutenant General Azhar Abbas.
