Country will produce surplus sugar this year: Muzzammil
Focal Person of the Finance Ministry Muzzammil Aslam has said that the country will produce surplus sugar this year.
Speaking at Karachi Press Club on sugar prices, he said that the crushing of sugarcane begins from October 15 in Sindh but it has not been started so far.
The Focal person said the sugar mills in Punjab will start crushing sugarcane from 15th of this month.
He said the government has imported around three hundred thousand tons of sugar and further will also reach in a few days.
