CSE witnesses biggest crash of over 400 points
COLOMBO: The Colombo Stock Exchange witnessed the biggest crash in its history on Monday 5th Oct. The All Share Price Index fell by 462.99 points at the close of trading on the day, marking the first time in history that the All Share Price Index fell by over 400 points.
The All Share Price Index previously fell the most in a single day on 20 March this year, with the All Share Price Index falling 303.10 points.
Meanwhile, the S&P SL20 index fell by 178.24 points at the end of the day.
The All Share Price Index closed at 5,587.18 points and the S&P SL20 Index closed at 178.24 points.
